See you next season. Fitting they go up with penalty awarded and playing against 10 after yet another red card. :dismay: But however you look at it, it's a remarkable story and they've been playing good fluid attacking football. Well done :sign15: and get plastered tonight cos the title on Saturday is ours...
Funny on Sky watching Harry Arter losing his rag with the fans holding him aloft. Probably had his boots nicked. Think he realises there's still a game on Saturday and knows he could do without an injury.
yeah well done Muff but celebrating on a cold school night doesn't compare with an all day Saturday lash up in the sun in at Brighton!
Yeah, forget the penalties, the Angella decision and all that. They are one of the top two sides in the league. It has been a great season for them, I don't begrudge them a taste of glory whatsoever, in fact I am pleased for their fans. The media have over-egged the rags to riches story, but their fans have NEVER seen top flight football, fair play and good luck to them next year. We can be sick to the teeth of any media love in with Eddie "golden boy" Howe, but its not their fans creating that. Well done Bournemouth.
I bet no one knew that plucky little Bourenmouth were in League 2 six years ago? Another penalty - a fitting way for them to win promotion.
Although as caveat, it would be hilarious if Brighton got 4 sent off and were 13-0 down by half time v boro.
Congratulations to Bournemouth! It is good to see a brand new team plying their trade at the top next season. They will have to do extremely well to stay up (like us) and I hope they do so long as it's not at our expense! They certainly won't get as many pens next season do we won't need to get all worked up about that!
Loving this comment on the BBC live feed: MJE: What a fairy tale for AFCBournemouth. Who'd have thought a club with a super-rich owner could get to the Premier League
More or less a carbon copy story of us in the late 70's and early 80's. Well done Bournemouth, the two best teams are up.
Ugh. Was hoping we'd seen the last of the smug ***** for a while. Seeing them fall in the playoffs would have been fantastic. Still, the missus is happy.
I wouldn't crow about promotion just yet Bournemouth fans. This is what the Bon Accord supporters thought before they went to Arbroath.
Yep, congrats to Muff in what is all but signed and sealed after a tough season for us all! Hopefully means we'll win the title at home on a lovely sunny Saturday as well.
Compare Bournemouth's players reactions to our lads against Leicester and in the town centre on Saturday. Straight down the tunnel and away from their fans. Arter looked angry to be amongst the plebs.
Great post. I like Bournemouth. I like their fans. I like Eddie Howe. I like the football they play. It'll be pleasure to go up alongside them and I wish some on here would stop being so insufferably petty.
Not congratulating them, generally think they've been a cheating side most of the season, the fact most other sides have grown to dislike them is no accident.... Okay they have done well to get to championship but i think they have more than their fair share of luck whilst in the championship. They won today but against a pretty poor looking Bolton....
They've scored 95 goals and ruined Boro. Even Boro fans credit them as a much better side. Let it go!
Cannot argue with their success. Tonight summed up their season really! Great attacking play and a penalty to boot!
But it was a penalty and a correct red card? Congrats to them. Even though we are promoted ourselves you are bitter about Bournemouth?
"They don't deserve it", "there's at least 4 other sides who are better than them", "A club of their status shouldn't have the players that they do", "its not the club it's who owns them", "the way their player went down was embarrassing", "None of their players would get in our side, apart from the #9 maybe" You think I'm talking about Bournemouth, but I'm quoting things I've heard about Watford FC. Don't be that person quoting in a role reversal.
