This is why it doesn't matter one bit who the head coach is Mr Pozzo, look at the state of that squad!
Look at our squad. It’s a literal impossibility for us to put out any line-up that would inspire confidence.
It looks like Claudio's two finger lineup to Gino about he better start scouting ASAP this month. He knows what he needs, and has probably made that clear within whatever budget has been allocated.
For what it’s worth I’m sat on the khasi now more in desperation than hope I think. I don’t think eating brussel sprouts everyday for a year and then having diarrhea everyday in 2022 could save us looking at the line up today.
Yikes - that's a bit of a stinker. Not much Raneri can do with this squad. I'd argue there is maybe five players in that line up who would be considered Premier League quality. We got relegated with a much better squad than this.
It is bleak, it's not worth investing any of my depleted reserves of hope on this team at the moment.
Surely surely it is ludicrous that Sema starts over a Cucho and JP. His sub performances have been utterly dreadful. Terrible decision.
Seems to me like he's been forced to pick the defence & midfield from those in the squad who are vaguely fit & have done any training....
Well at least with a line up like that there are no expectations to be dashed. Maybe conceding a hatful of goals - which we will with that team - might convince our owners to dig into their pockets and buy some Premier League standard defenders. There’s a blonde lad at Palace who could do a good job in our midfield too.
Sema starting in attack over JP, Cucho, or any random child we can throw a kit on, is utterly laughable. Over half this XI would be complainable if they were named in the Championship. Christ.
Looks like the plan is absorb the pressure for 45-60 minutes then bring on attackers. Basing that on the inclusion of Sema and the need to protect the back line.
If Cleverley is well enough to be on the bench, couldn't he have started instead of Kucka? I understand putting Cathcart at RB, but not with it meaning WTE gets a game again. I also understand that neither JP or Cucho have done enough in their starts to necessarily earn a spot, but Sema has been useless even while a sub. I can only hope he somehow manages to pull something out of the hat and be the inverse of those two in being crap from the bench but decent from the start.
I feel a trashing coming on. Tactics seems to be to hold out for as long as possible to reduce the amount of goals flying past flat footed Bachmann. Spurs score early and all plans are f**ked. Enjoy the game.
Before we slate how poor quality our team is, lets just remember how many good players we have injured right now. If we had a little more luck with injuries, I'd fancy our team for a 12th-13th place finish.
Dennis is doing a Sarr, seems disinterested, not even trying to challenge Tottenham defenders for the ball. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Loaded our own area, Royal or Reguilon can have the ball but can't thread it into any space or cross in where we have left someone unmarked. Spurs have nothing with central space cluttered for Son Kane or Moura. The downside is its given us nothing going forward.
We’re absolutely going down. Sacrificing any attacking intent to lose 1-0 in the 96th minute is too deflating for anyone to recover from.
It wasn’t completely awful either by the way but I think mentally we’re shot now and we seem to have pis*ed off our best player too.
That 'save' on Pedro in the box has to be match fixing. The foul a few minutes before that pulling back to a FK too.
Well it's hard to look past that overall conclusion, although perhaps it's a bit too early after one game to assume Dennis is ****ed off
