Just started my career mode. Signed Melker Hallberg (18 year old CM, 65 rated) and Alex Meret (17 year old GK, 60 rated) both on loan from Udinese. Sent Bondy on loan to Millwall. Think I'll be signing Hallberg permanently at the end of the season, like him so far.

 

I wouldn't unless you get it cheap.

There's a gold pack a week for 42 weeks I think and then Messi on loan for 5 games.

Really struggling with defending this year.

 

Had 2 freekicks so far, both with McGugan. Scored with one, hit the underside of the bar with the other. Think I scored about 2 FKs total in FIFA 14.

 

Played Watford v Lu*on. Vydra hat trick 4-0 to the Hornets.

 

I had Hallberg in an IFK game on FIFA14, he was brilliant.

 

I find defending pretty easy as I've always just used players to usher oncoming attackers into somewhere they're ineffective and then nip in to take the ball.

What I am struggling with however, is trying to avoid two footing someone at every opportunity, I broke Vydra's collarbone yesterday with Ekstrand, smashed him and an opposition player from the side, Vydra went flying over the opposition player, injured. fml. (and Ekstrand got booked)

I've also noticed that sometimes when you knick the ball from an attacker, they get the hump and lunge at you, or chase you round like a blue arsed fly

 

Battocchio starts every game for me! Just won the league with 101 points, Deeney top scorer in the league with 24 and also got 18 assists...

 

You did well to get Moore for that much, just enquired and they want £4m.

 

Had a pathetic budget after promotion so only signed Robbie Brady. Good start to the season though, lost 2-1 to West Ham then beat Newcastle 6-1 and West Brom 3-1. Angella scored 3 in 2 from corner headers despite only scoring once last season

 

First season in the co-op seasons mode with Watford.

I got 3m originally, then after requesting more they gave me an extra 1.7m

 

Now up to 100k total transfer profit (including the coins i've spent on my squads) on UT, through selling Watford players mostly. Now i've got some good capital, i'll expand, I did some research on Friday, seeing what some players go for at 11AM-1PM compared to 5PM and 7PM and i've now got a nice list that i'll be able to maximise my money making ability

 

Hour and a half later, i've spent 70k on players to re-sell, should be able to shift them all at a decent profit (400+ coins per player), got a full transfer pile with 15 or so left over to put on the market when my transfer pile isn't full

 

Don't mind cos it's not rocket science!

Been buying a mix of Watford players (all sell for values are minimums, add a bit higher buy it now price on top):

Anya: Buy for <=1000 coins, sell for 1600
Vydra: Buy for <=650, sell for 950
Paredes: Buy for <=1200, sell for 1700
Gomes: Buy for <=1300, sell for 2000 (recently someones been buying every Gomes I list at the buy it now price, which I set at like 3k, cheers to whoever that muppet is!)
Ighalo: Buy for <=300, sell for 550
Dyer: Buy for <=600, sell for 900

Others:

Hernandez (Madrid): Buy for <=3500, sell for 4100
Chiriches (Tottenham): Buy for <=2100, sell for 2600
Smalling (Utd): Buy for <=1600, sell for 2100
Kaboul (Tottenham): Buy for <=1000, sell for 1400

Basically just try to find players that will be in demand (basically pacey defenders + strikers in big leagues) where there'll be enough on the market at all times meaning there'll be price fluctuations.

Starting Career mode with Watford.
Can anyone suggest any good signings? good younsters? Solid championship players?
Signed Joshua King for £1mil, seems to be playing well.

 

I signed Callum Wilson from Bournemouth for £700k, he's decent as is very fast but not the best finisher. Liam Moore has been mentioned above

 

About to finish my second season, currently 7th in the Premier League. I've only actually signed three players since the start so far (Wilson, Wynne and Brady) and already sold one of them again (Wynne).

 

Will Bournemouth not say that he has recently joined etc..?
It would be good if Fifa somehow made it easier for watford to sign udinese palyers on it!
Want to get Scuffet on loan, hopefully be possible.

 

I thought that would happen but apparently not, I signed him in the January transfer window so maybe that's what made the difference.

 

Got bored of Watford, started an Arsenal career. Sign Ahmed Musa at all costs, great little player. Also signed Mitrovic, Scuffet, Schar and Memphis Depay. All good, especially Depay.

Joshua King for £1mill

Hoban and Murray sent out on loan along with Doherty, Mensah and Uche.

Haven't got off to the best start but just getting used to the game.

Vydra is different class for me.

 

Took the Pozzo route of Free Agrents primarily, with Vydra being the only 'bought' player. Will post who I signed later.

Sold Ighalo and Fabbrini for ~4-5 mil combined at start of Career. Easy money.

 

How much was Vydra? I played him 5 times under the basis I wouldn't be able to afford to buy him back at the end of the season.

Ighalo is quality.

 

Bought for ~7,000,0000 as he was 75 when I was promtoed. Part of reason why I sold Fabs and Ighalo.

In hindsight I wonder if it would have been better to cancel his loan, then out-right buy him after selling Fabs and Ighalo.

Ighalo is quite good though, at least with pre-patch. After patch he's decent, but expendable.

 

Players I brought in as Free Agents:

Park Chu Young - Was 68, still around club on 9,000. Worth 775k. Good purchase, recommended as he could easily top 1,000k bracket if he was 'in-form' when sold rather than baseline.

Kirm - Was 66, good jumper and header dude, overall 69 when sold for 750k. Would recommend to clubs who can afford wage for 2-3 year deal at 8,000k. See above on value.

Gutiérrez - Was 65, still at club on 5,000 with 1 year left. Worth 325k. Useful sporadic first team player as injuries came thick and fast to my back line. Without him I would have had no real defenders left, which is suprising given amount we have!

Mensah - Was 58, 62 overall when sold for 250k. Never going to cut it.

Ikpeazu - Read same at 300k.

Smith - Was 60, 64 overall when sold for 400k. Wasn't going to cut it with current midfield.

Bond - Was 64, 66 overall when sold for 510k. Decent back up, but had Worldie youth kid come in on 3 year deal.

Gilmartin - Let contract run out. lol.

Murray is immense after his loan, 70 rated and bright future. Battochio is same but if offer came in for both I'd keep Murray and sell Battochio as technical stats on Murray are supreme. (77fk accuracy and 80 power and 70 curl!That's Tozser level of FK! )
