He plays for the same Chilean club the Pozzos signed Sierralta from, and just broke in to the Chilean national team meaning I think he'd get a work permit. Seems a tricky right-sided CM in a similar mould to Nahitan Nandez, so seemss the profile of player we're also still targeting. This sounds very plausible to me. Would be a good signing I reckon from the highlights at least. Takes a mean free-kick as well.
No doubt FS will be crucial in getting this deal over then line, he’s only got to tell him what a great time he’s had here and the deal is as good as done
Three managers didn't play him. There has to be a reason for that. He had injuries, Covid (maybe affected him badly?).
The account that tweeted that doesn’t look like a journalist? I saw another tweet suggesting ESPN had reported he was off to Inter! Again not a journo though as far as I could tell.
Good enough for the PL? Most likely not Far better than the dross we played at CB as if they were good enough for the PL? Absofu*kinglutely.
With Bayo and Manaj (most likely) in, are we going to be signing anyone else? Not sure, but it all depends on where they see Pedro's primary position. If he's seen as a main striker, then I think the plan would be Bayo and Pedro being the two up top, with Fletcher and Manaj as the backups. With Forde as a bit of a wildcard. But if they see Pedro as the guy in the number 1o position, sitting behind the front two, then I can see us bringing another player in. Probably Archer or Gayle on loan. Are there any other areas that need strengthening? obviously yes, but will we do this? Not sure, although I'm encouraged by the links to midfielders of pedigree. We are quite well stocked in midfield in terms of numbers but there is a place for one more first team starter type. Hopefully a leader too. On outgoings, from a squad balance POV, I can't really see where Sema or Kalu fit. Baah could also be one who will probably have to go out on loan as he's a natural wide man, and I can't see him as a likely convert to RWB. Hungbo I can see getting game time on either flank as a back up wing back though. Can't see anything happening at CB, and we've not even had any links. A home-grown third choice keeper is probably going to happen though, and that may be it. One striker on loan, a midfielder and a third choice HG keeper.
3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2. I don't see where he fits in either system and I can't see him converting to another position. He seems to be an out and out winger to me. But......if by some miracle we can't sell Sarr, then maybe he'll use a 4-4-2 system. In that case Kalu, Baah, Hungbo, Sema and of course Sarr all come into play.
Given how different that might look, it's really not easy to make transfer decisions today before we know what is happening with Sarr, given so much hinges on that.
Not sure. All I know is we would be in a far better position with a fully fit and motivated Sierralta than we are now.
Sema would be good as a LWB in the Champ, much more preferable than any of the other potential backup/rotation options we currently have for there. It's probably the position he's most suited to. Kalu is one there's no room for. Hungbo I also don't know where he'd play. Baah it could depend on simply how good he currently is or isn't, as it appears he might have been used as one of the forwards in early training while we've been light on numbers in that area. If he's impressed he could have a chance as a backup there, if not then a loan would also be likely.
I know what you intended - but the premise rested on the players being ones who played at both CM and RB; however Fabian Delph does not, hence does not work for use in the joke. Phil Neville was fine, and AMN is an example of someone else you could have said instead.
Jeez, lighten up. A totally pointless interjection! I'm sure everyone got it! You're behaving like a bloody school teacher the last couple of days!
