Bin the Turk, he's not up for the battle at all. Showed a little bit against Newcastle but has done nothing since.
You’re allowed 4 in total - 2 from UK and 2 overseas. We currently have 3 unless I’m mistaken? Tufan, Etebo and Kucka. And you’re only allowed to register 4 in a whole season. So I think sending any back or signing them permanently won’t make any difference. Short story is we have 1 home loan slot left if my rather crude understanding of the rules is correct.
The thing the reason for me wanting to keep him isn't that he may be good on paper, I was genuinely very impressed when he has played, a calming presence for the rest of the backline. However it is true that like Kabasele, he might prove to be just as injury prone.
What about u21 loans? U21s don’t have to be registered so would having an u21 loan in the squad involve “having a loan player registered?”
No idea. I assume they still count as it just says no more than 4 loan players can't be registered in any one season.
Maybe u21s have to be ‘registered’ but just don’t count to the number of players registered? Can’t see us bringing in more than one loan anyway. If u21 loans don’t count (and even if they do since the u21 won’t count toward the registration restrictions) then I think Malang Sarr, Levi Colwill (also at Chelsea and has been at Huddersfield on loan and outstanding) and Tanganga are really the only compelling u21 PL CBs.
Fabrizio Romano doesn’t think so. I am little surprised how adamant he is. https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1478758013796327430?s=21
This guy (who has a pretty good track record) answered the below when I asked him who Watford were after:
Very big thread I only pop onto occasionally so if this has been discussed somewhere already then apologies. Would everyone welcome taking Christian Eriksen into the club at this point in the season? I mean I’d guess we’ve got very little chance but he’s said he wants to play again now. Hope it works out for him wherever he goes. And I’d love it if he came here, although I’d be nervous for him at first.
I certainly wouldn’t want us to pay the sort of permanent fee you’d imagine would be required (£10m or so). Given his phrasing it seems this was something he heard a bit ago. Maybe we were pushing for loan a couple of weeks back and have moved on? Hope we haven’t moved on from Rodon though.
Starting for Chelsea tonight. First Phil Jones, then Samir and now him - seems like once you’re linked with a move to us, your club decides they want to use you all of a sudden!
Samir is a bit different. He’s started every game (barring one due to suspension) for Udinese this season. But yeah. Who’s Newcastle’s biggest liability? Can we establish a link to him ahead of our crucial game with them next week?
Do you think Newcastle’s defenders worry that an error-strewn performance could result in all expenses paid trip to Istanbul?
Going to be interesting if Newcastle do sign some big names as one criticism I have heard about Eddie Howe is that he has struggled to manage players of high profile in the past.
Unless he's not there because they're protecting him ahead of a loan that's about to be rubber stamped...
