I’ve never been as bored with Watford as I am now and struggle to watch a full 90 minute game. Made to half time today and turned off. There is no improvement, no plan, no effort, no desire, there’s just nothing game after game.

I still don’t think VI is playing our best side & formation, that’s my opinion, but with no backing from the board he is trying to shoehorn his approach onto a squad that just isn’t good enough. For us to be a successful team, 1 side of this will have to yield and regardless of VI contract he will face the axe eventually.

I dont want the team to lose, but like other fans I want the board to see how bad this situation is and wake the F up and do something about it.

    That was absolutely fuccking diabolical.

Tonight's performance genuinely looked like the very end of an era under a manager a team all hate, with tools utterly and thoroughly downed, just 24 hours after the fabled contract extension.

As I did on the shoutbox, I ask again - is this season really more exciting, and do we really have any more of a style of play than last, or was it just the classic new coach hustle and bustle at the start of a new season, before settling into a no plan, no cohesion lethargy?

We offered absolutely nothing tonight, in defence, midfield, or attack. We utterly lack quality, and the very few players who supposedly have some either aren't in a position to display it, or just cannot in the slightest be bothered to (Louza). Couldn't pass, couldn't shoot, couldn't defend. Senior leader and captain Bachmann got another yellow card for pointlessly mouthing off at something well outside his box. Congratulations, lad.

We're ten games in now, and this was as bad as anything last season, if not worse. We can only go on saying 'it's fine, we're midtable and loads of teams are worse' for so long. And now one of our two right backs is banned, so we're forced to play the one who is so shyt he was replaced at half time by the other. Marvellous.

On the strength of that performance, coming on the back of our other recent performances, we have a serious problem.

Think I'm finally done, they've twisted the knife into my love of the club too much the last few years, and now finally I've had enough. Utter rubbish and back to square one. Reset my arse.

Only silver lining is I have money on us to go down, which is looking more and more realistic with each passing game.

Awful performance. Barely had a shot on target. Chicken hearted from most of the side. Exceptions Andrews and Asprilla. Players who cannot be bothered to use their ability like Louza. Others with zero ability like Ngakia and Bayo. £5M remember. Midfield balance awful. Sierralta is a CB playing at DM. He's not Mascherano. Awful performance again. Fullbacks dreadful. Not one cross. Cannot defend. Andrews was alright. So the CBs are badly exposed pulled out of place by these idiots infront of them and keep looking bad and losing confidence.

Zero IQ at times. Playing at the back again results in a near giveaway then a corner which results in a goal. And then Hoedt not for the first time almost gifts another. Abysmal defending for both goals typified by Hoedt waving his foot hopelessly and Lewis not even getting up to challenge the initial header for the second and no one even marking the scorer.

Sunderland bang average side barring Clarke and Ballard as many are in this division and results have shown. But at least they put the effort in and appear to care. Losing the will to care anymore about Watford FC and club football in general. It's a tediously predictable sport across most leagues. Think I'll stick to international football and maybe South America where the spirit of football still lives on as it was.

Don't forget while VI may cop the blame the real culprit is Gino Pozzo and his policies especially with recruitment. VI may well have the plans but he certainly has not been given the players. Those he has are cast offs and hopefuls. I mean who would spend £5M on Bayo an alleged striker. Did you see his two attempts on goal ? One a shot miles over the bar, the other like a stag on the rut contorting it's antlers only to head the ball into an opposing players back. Joke of a player.

There is some incredible symmetry to the fact Edwards lost 2 in 10 and got the boot (with many fans glad to see him gone) and VI has won 2 in 10 and he got a contract extension (with many fans glad about it).

We are an utter shambles and are in a complete tailspin, the owner has lost the plot and has made so many ridiculous decisions he now no longer knows which way is up.

This feels like a low so deep, that it has to get better, but in reality we have further to fall.

We lack skills, talent, belief, spirit and care.

If Val can get us up the table, he is a decent manager, working with the limitations of this squad. You just cannot see us creating many chances (particularly without Martins). Couple that with an inability to defend, and it is very gloomy.

Well I'd predicted we'd concede 4, so better than I expected.

First half up to the goal wasn't so bad. Bayo did pretty well. TDB was OK. Ngakia was as dreadful as ever. Poor going forwards, awful defending and constantly giving the ball away.

Then the goal. Some youth player who'd never scored before, Muggins, just waltzed through our defence. Hoedt stood absolutely still and wafted a lazy leg as he jinked past him. That was then that.

Andrews red looked a bit harsh given the conditions, but Hoedt could well have got one and given away a pen with a completely rash out of control sliding challenge that very fortunately got the ball.

Finally.....looks like people have realised....we're not going to the play offs, we're not mid-table......WE'RE in a relegation scrap.

If nothing changes we're going down. The situation is that bad.

Tonight was the worst of the lot. Players just don't seem to want to play for the manager on that performance. The last 4 performances have seen a big drop off in form and we're not seeing progression...quite the reverse. Ismael must be amazing in training that's all I can say.

I think it's obvious he'll be gone in the international window. I just cannot see him staying. The drop in form and performance is alarming....but it's all on the b'stard Gino Pozzo. He is killing this football club. The hierarchy thought stripping out 23 players and investing next to nothing was the way to go. They've signed off on it, with extreme arrogance we had enough. Once again their collect thinking is pathetically and spectacularly wrong. How can we trust people running this football club with such flawed decision making.

Gino Pozz out.........and believe it or not, this is the first time I've actually written that.

Echo the first paragraph. I switched off and read a book. Very enjoyable. Checked the scores just now to see how many points I got in Teide's score comp.
Things will only get interesting again if and when Pozzo buggers off.

Same old stuff isn't it really? Getting tiring repeating it.

I'd like to apologise to @hornetboy1 I thought we were bad but really thought we'd be free of any relegation trouble. We're bang in that relegation fight, holes and problem all over the team. Who even is our best player? Who's our first name on the team sheet type player? Martins?

Louza needs to be dropped, he's coasting.

Really disappointed in Lewis yet again, thought he'd be an obvious upgrade on Morris but hasn't looked it so far. Just a personal gripe but that holding the sleeves stuff reeks of weak piss.

Awful decision making all over the pitch, as mentioned with TDB switching off, Bayo refusing to pass in good positions, Ngakia & Sierralta repeatedly pushing people over in silly positions, players are all scared and VI not sure on his best team as he keeps making these weird subs at half-time. Subs at half-time are an admission you got it wrong, repeatedly.

Gino to blame though, squad just simply not good enough, not a single matchwinner out there or any player you can hang your hat on.

    Boooooooooorrrrrrrrinnnnng.

It’ll be genuinely hysterical when they sack him after giving him the extension. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest

That was beyond terrible. At no point did it look like we’d even get a point, let alone win. The Sunderland goal was so inevitable.

Cannot think of a single positive out of that. Cardiff will beat us on Saturday and it’ll be 4 losses on the spin.

Pretty even game but we were toothless and error prone.

0-40 mins - cautious football, waiting until they score.

40-45 mins - wait for half time.

45-55 mins - asking some questions but also waiting to concede.

55-75 mins - watching Sunderland kill the game.

75 -85 mins - petulant yellow card competition... winner gets to miss a few matches.

85 mins to the end - walk about a bit. Try not to look silly.

I can deal with losing to a better team, which Sunderland clearly are, but losing in that fashion is unacceptable. There was zero cohesion, no semblance of a game plan, and the petulance that crept in in the second half was reminiscent of the bitter end to previous manager's tenures.

So many poor individual performances it's hard to name them all. TDB, Ngakia, Hoedt, Bayo, Lewis, Louza arguably the standouts.

Tonight was a lesson in squad building. Sunderland had a young, hungry squad, with players perfectly suited to a system they all understood. We were the polar opposite.

I would ask though, does a "reset" equal being good to those on here moaning about that part?

We're awful at the playing football part of things, no getting away from it.

But the likes of Kabasele, Cathcart etc moved on as plenty wanted, a manager backed up as people wanted, a bit of visible transparency as people wanted, not tonight but has seemed to be a bit more effort on the pitch. What else must reset for you guys, just out of interest? If it's simply being good again then that's a bit unfair no?

That was worse than I thought it was going to be. Team didn't want it, VI was clueless, Sunderland were crap but did enough. We are relegation fodder at the moment. Dump VI and get Pep in. Love to see him turn dust into gold. Both goals were a total joke, first one was awful, player just walked through our entire midfield. Second one was a free header from a cross. WE HAD EIGHT MEN IN THE BOX. Nobody attempted to challenge. Player's couldn't give a toss tonight. Insult to the club and badge. GT would be so ashamed of this current crop, and he doesn't deserve to be looking down at this rubbish. Gino, just go. You have taken us as low as you can. Any further we will be going to Burton and Charlton in a years time. We haven't played third tier football since 1997... almost thirty years ago. We are 40 game from doing just that.

Shout box was more entertaining than the game. Andrews stupid red card, Bachmann booked for gobbing off. Can it get any worse? Of course it can. Martins, if you did watch this toniught or some of it, sorry. They played like cowards.

Not sure what to make of that. Both teams were strolling about.

Dont want to comment too much on you guys as its difficult to judge a team on one away performance but in final third you were quite wasteful.

I think with a proper striker we would have a chance but to replace Stewart they brought in 3 really young kids and a Ukrainian lad, none of which look like scoring.

Anyway, best of luck in your season.

I've defended him time after time, but his last two performances have been an utter joke!!

Drop him to the ressies and sell him in January!!

Like playing with 10 men all night!!

Lost for words to describe that performance from any of them. Bayo was back to his usual sh*t self, although he had zero service. Very much a one-man team (Martins). Nothing else going forward at all.

The entire defence were sh*t, TDB did ok but that's about it! The other 10 that started were utterly hopeless!!!

We are so easy to play against! Just let us play around with the ball at the back and wait until we give it away! Or a little ball into the channel and turn around two slow cumbersome CB's facing their own goal!!

Can someone tell me another time in the history of football where a team wins a free kick and manages to get two of their players booked in the process?

I’m sure there’s one from the good old days when Billy Bremner retaliated and accidentally lumped one of his own players during the melee, getting a reaction. But I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a first tonight
