    As it stands it’s a C-.
We’ve lost our best players, but that was inevitable so it can’t be held against the hierarchy in-and-of-itself. The fees have been reasonable in the circumstances too. Plus the clearout of fringe players has been impressive; even if I’d have preferred we kept a couple of them around.

The ins have been pretty appalling though. Perma-crocks and pensioners. There are gaping holes in the squad and we’ve barely begun to address our weaknesses. This has to be caveated by acknowledging that we’re aiming to avoid relegation, rather than making play-offs. We’re potentially 2 or 3 signings away from being comfortably mid-table.

Sorry, they've already ruled out getting Deeney back in the building.

I think we will be looking at a B+ or A- by the end of the window. Deadwood out, fancy dans out and the signings we have made so far have been sensible. I think 3 or 4 more will come in which will give us a balanced squad with plenty of cover.

Like it or not Gino getting Ubenga and his team in might have been a very shrewd move, time will tell.

    Outgoings - A
Incomings - How the hell do you grade this ? We all know incomings would have to be cheap punts and loans of a lower standard than the outgoings. Too soon to say what impact Lewis, Ince, Healey, Georgian, Livermore will have. At least they didn’t cost ridiculous sums or involve Bayat.

    Outgoings A++
Incomings time will tell could well be rated good, come the end of the season
Current players A++ based on the players who started on Saturday all being here last season, except their mindset has been updated and made “ fit for purpose “ by the current head coach

I'm still confident that the Pozzos have got 5 players lined up to come straight into the team and make us competitive, so I'm rating it as A+, safe in the knowledge that will happen

The Wendover chap on Twitter has been telling us all summer that quality additions will be coming so we’d be foolish not to trust him.

Based on so far I'd say a fail in all subjects and held back a year for retakes.

That said, if this is a reset and mis table is acceptable to the owners and start again next year then I'm all for cutting the debts and spending only 50k OH! Sorry, I forgot about our new number 9 so plus whatever he cost. A pint and a packet of crisps?

You're a fool. There's still 3 days left for the Ponzos to earn a few extra ++++ but you have to go early with your entitled criticisms, don't you?

It's an F for me. The worst transfer window the Pozzo's have ever had. No issue with the outgoings, although Pedro is a sad loss, but the quality and number of incomings is extremely poor. To leave the squad as threadbare as it is is unforgivable. Only a couple of the new additions look like they're capable of offering something in the immediate future. Even if a few players come in in the next 3 days, how bad is it that they have sacrificed 3 league matches before getting a squad together?

Nope, they've not done anywhere near enough and it looks the like the Manga experiment is a massive fail. It's all on the owner though. He's not investing anymore and when you have someone with that mindset, the club is only going to go one way.

I posted elsewhere that from the outside it feels like Ismael is working with his hands tied behind his back.

I appreciate it’s still early days and it will be interesting to re-visit this thread come October or November but so far I’d say..

Ince shows promise of being a smart signing, Livermore shows the folly of head coaches choosing players, the new striker doesn’t look like the Championship oven ready forward we so desperately needed, Lewis and Healy clearly have fitness issues which isn’t ideal and Chev looks fancy on the eye but does he have it in him to actually influence a match?

Not a good window so far. Whether the last two words in that sentence are the crucial ones remains to be seen.

I will wait until the deadline to grads this transfer window. I am happy that we have got rid of many players that didn’t want to be here and didn’t have the right attitude. I think we have received good money for JP and and done well to get what we got for Sarr. I am happy with Tom Ince and he should be an absolute bargain, Jamal Lewis should be a very good signing if he ever gets fit, I initially thought Rhys Healy was a smart bit of business but starting to doubt this now. Our other signings are a bit unknown, I like the look of Chakvadatze and think it’s smart we have brought in such a versatile player considering our financial circumstances. I think Rajovic fits the way Ismael wants his strikers to play but I have to admit I think it’s a huge gamble having this guy as our supposed number one target. I am very disappointed that we have no investment in the midfield especially our number 6 position as we are currently relying on a converted centre back, Kaymebe and Kone.

Off the top of my head, from what I can recall we very, very rarely bring in any of the impactful signings that we all know we need (in the rare instances that we actually do) in the final few days of the window, as the clock ticks down ever louder. So, I'm currently anticipating having to keep at least one of my +'s in reserve. Hope I'm more wrong than I've ever been!

Well Gino is fast running out of time to add to what we have with a limited budget, so it's pretty much as you were. With the new addition of Raj we have at least tried to address the goal scoring problem, but we are limited in a lot of areas (which is no surprise considering the much needed mass clearing of dead wood) so that has to be taken into account. If this is our first full year of the "rebuild" then as out-goings go, it's an A+. Incomings have been average, with Hause 2.0 being the only real gem. I would say a deserved C for effort. But whether or not we add to this in January is another point.

Right now a B for outgoings and a D for incomings.

Right now Ince is our best signing.

If Lewis ever gets fit that might change.

    Must do better.

At some point this season we're going to have Hamer, Pollock, Morris, Livermore, Kayembe, Kone, Kalu and Bayo in the starting lineup. It's just inevitable, once the injuries start kicking in it's going to produce an absolute gem of a lineup and I can't wait.

It’s rare we make any signings on deadline day itself. From memory I can only recall that Korean player under Nani we signed at the last moment.

With the social media as it is, even real hush, hush deals, rumours tend to start picking up 48 hours before the signing is made. We’ve heard of all our transfers so far a good couple of days before the announcement.

So, that’s a long winded way of saying, if we don’t hear of any solid rumours today, I believe that’ll be our business done in this window, baring maybe a last minute loan deal from our friends in Italy.

Sarr was a deadline day signing, that's the main one I remember. That was back when they tried closing the window before the first game.

Yes Andrew French probably won’t be wasting his time at the training ground getting funny looks and told to fed for himself this time .

Why does it close on Friday morning this time ?

To let clubs have more time to complete deals I guess .

D- at present. VI has been sold a pup. He know's what he needs and wants but has not been supported by the two bozo's. And we still have bad smells in the dressing room. Thankfully many have disappeared but those could also do with removing. But compared to nearly all other clubs in the division recruitment has been appallingly bad.

It's no exaggeration the likes of @reids could do a far better job.

Pretty sure Rajovic is our last summer signing, although I wouldn't rule out a last minute backup CB coming on loan from Udinese. At this late stage, I cannot see anything else happening unfortunately. This window has been a clear-out NOT a rebuild.

    Whatever the lowest grade is.

Sure, Chekavadzte looks like he could be handy and I'm not against the signing of Healey, but Livermore is absolutely dreadful and a waste of a shirt number, and Rajovic needs time to settle.

But of those who have who were the bad eggs?

Sarr - was he really an issue or just someone blames by Duxbury as he cost a lot and wasn't performing so well?
Davis or was it more he just didn't live up to expectations.

Seems to me most that have left were loans/players out of contract we probably tried to keep really or a couple almost out of contract.

I don't think Kabasele, Cathcart and Gosling were bad boys and well Cleverley has a new job with the club.

As HB1 more of a clear out than re set.

Seems the club wanted players who really only wanted to come which is hard as most footballers don't exactly join a club for the love of them.

I suspect Healey is probably already regretting the move..

That was when they were packing up at Granada. I was trying to see if this has been a similar window to the last one of their regime there but Transfrmarket or whatever isn’t the easiest site to use to work anything out.

IF the window slams shut with our incomings as it is, then it will be very funny (in an entirely unamusing way) just how scattergun, low quality and fundamentally punt in nature basically every signing has been, added to the almost insultingly obvious glaring holes that still exist in key parts of/roles on the pitch.

Getting rid of several squads worth of players claiming it's part of a giant, brilliant reset, and then once again leaving a head coach high and dry without the number or level of players required to play the style they want, will basically be like the ultimate real world Youtube prank.
