That's great, it starts with an earthquake.
Birds and snakes, and aeroplanes
Little know facts about Perica. He was only 18 months old when Troy Deeney made his first appearance for the Horns and his favourite round, toffee-filled, chocolate soft centres are Rolos. I don't know if anyone else has any facts about him.
I would think that this being permanent rather than a loan would imply they expect further Udinese loans (or at least a few more loans generally).
He’s probably going to be rubbish, but at least he comes here having produced a few earlier signs of promise.
Just like Geijo.
Glad it's 2 years. Players need to earn a long term contract, not get them handed out.
Now with him and Murray it surely must mean the end for Deeney? Perica, Suarez, Murray, Gray, Welbeck as our centre forward options
Horrible feeling we can't shift Feeney and Suarez will be off
Why will Suarez be off?
Wow, this came out of nowhere
I doubt he ‘will’ be off.
But there may come a time when by hook or by crook, squad numbers will need to be trimmed and we may have to start entertaining losing players we want to keep but have takers for - as opposed to those we want to lose but have no one willing to take.
It’s all very well saying lose him, him and him. But people have to take them. We have too many strikers and need to get at least 2 off the books, maybe even 3.
So just a random guess
Swap Welbeck for Success.
I reckon he scores double figures this season in all competitions. I’m setting you a challenge Stipe, 10 goals please.
I thought I knew REM songs pretty well but can't work out which one this refers to?
'Bad Day' or 'Leave' is my guess.
Priskin mark II
Good thing. Time to ship out Deeney.
He's going nowhere unless he gets an offer. We may end up having to pay off his contract or subsidize his wages. Can see him going to Birmingham on a free with us part covering his pay. Not needed here but we can't make him go if no one wants him.
Birmingham aren’t in the PL. And he’s a PL Striker! He told us himself!
I doubt we let him go elsewhere in the league. It’ll be lower end PL or nothing I think. Or a random move to Turkey or something for a year - but with a young family, not sure he’d accept that.
I still think MLS is the perfect move for him in every way. Said before, he should get Elton to put a word in with Becks and get him over to Inter Miami. They could afford it, he’d do well there and he’s got a mouth big enough to promote the club on a wide scale.
Would he be able to play in the MLS? He has a criminal record, I would have thought getting a Green Card may be hard.
He has always said he wants to live in the US so it would not surprise me.
Might be an issue. I stopped following that tinpot league a while back, but I do recall wrong’un Luke Rodgers having his visa application denied because of past trouble.
How many times has he been offside so far?
This is the acid test for Priskin-ness.
Given he's likely being brought in to be fourth choice (behind Suarez, Gray and Murray) I assume it's because he'll be surplus to requirements if we get promoted, and if we don't then he'll at least be here as a cheap option when we have to sell Suarez, Murray's loan ends and we try desperately to offload Gray for wages.
Also, if there is no fee there isn't any need to spread the cost of a transfer over the course of his contract.
It's a shop window for Pozzo. They're hoping he manages to find some form and get some money for him.
Well that's one chunk of deadwood cut from the squad.
Club using a victory to bury bad news as fans’ favourite departs.
Which fan was it though?
So much for the Crown jewels
