Watford and Inter Milan are negotiating a transfer for Saphir Taider to England this summer. The midfielder briefly joined Southampton on loan from Inter last summer, but the deal was terminated on 31st August and he was sent back to Inter after making just one friendly appearance for the Saints. He was again loaned to Sassuolo on 1st September and he made 27 apperances for the club last season, scoring three goals and providing the same number of assists for his team-mates. Inter are keen to offload him this summer and are appear to have found a keen buyer in the form of Premier League new boys Watford. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2015/07...-over-inter-midfielder-saphir-taider/220493/?
Decent player with good potential from what I have seen, but apparently sent home after a couple of months from Southampton for having a terrible work ethic. The Algerian McGugan?
He doesn't have a bad attitude. He did have a bad attitude but everyone needs to stop thinking that what he did at Southampton was his final thing in football. This past season he played 27 games for Sussoulo in the seria A avg an 85% pass rate, 3 goals, 3 assists, 20 goal scoring opportunities, an avg rating of 7.7 in the games he played 85mins or more, was fouled more than times than he committed fouls. Won more tackles than losing tackles, won nearly 50% of his Ariel battles and basically had a very good season. If we sign him, we are getting a very good player that is only going to get better.
Dyer on one wing and Taider on the other should give us good 'attitude balance'* count me in * my apologies for using a technical football term
Serious question, is the Southampton fan using the revolving door metaphor to imply he shagged a lot of girls whilst sulking, or that he hung out with a lot of unsavoury characters whilst sulking, in a kind of Gokhan Tore way?
Saphir Ta*der Another rumour - another midfielder! http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...ehrami-to-undergo-watford-medical_232836.html
As of 2 hours ago, apparently, we have now entered into an official negotiation with inter for Taider. Initially it was just talks but supposedly we are now officially pursuing our interest and have begun discussions.
It is getting just a tad ridiculous, if the Wobby are to be believed in having essentially secured Stambouli's signature, and this is actually happening alongside...
Just enjoy it, when have we ever bought the calibre of player we're getting? I have absolute confidence that by the end of the transfer window Quique will have the squad he wants.
Oh, I am, entirely, though it does leave me with the slightest nag in the recesses of my mind, considering two of the signings have left their club because they weren't getting enough game time/couldn't get a start. I'm a neurotic fellow, so I'm plagued by those kinds of thoughts, but I also recognise Quique is rather well qualified to negotiate that kind of scenario, as well as remunerated, and as I keep telling fans of other teams, I'm sure it's all part of the Pozzos dastardly overarching master plan.
The successful sides have the deepest squads. Burnley had a decent starting eleven last season and started ok but as winter set in, their lack of back up started to prove costly. We look set to start the campaign with a very decent eleven BUT crucially back up in every position too. A couple of bad injuries, like King last PL season, and hopefully we will cope without any negative effects. The tough job for Flores will be keeping everybody happy and managing to find a formation that gets the best out of what we have at our disposal, but he's a top coach and I'm sure he will.
I can't see us signing this fella after what happened at Southampton. If we want grafters in central midfield it doesn't sound like Taider would fit the bill.
So it was 'talks', which have now advanced into 'discussions'. How long before we ramp up our interest with 'deliberations'?
According to Gazzetta GazzettaTv missing very little for the landing of Saphir Taider to Watford . Gino Pozzo , owner of English club , and Piero Aid met last night at a hotel in Milan and have closed the deal . For the official expects only the ' yes ' of the Algerian midfielder . Davide Santon is leaving , but after rejecting the club newly promoted to the Premier , there are two other ' no ' to the back of the Crystal Palace and West Ham . The player is determined to stay at Inter . Attention to situations instead of Nagatomo and Andreolli , who both offers from Germany and England .
Some Italian media outlets are claiming that a cash offer has been accepted by inter from us apparently. Probably a nonsense story and made up based on the Stambouli news.
Taider is a high energy all round cm. Not direct competition for Stambouli, more like the guy that keeps Guedioura out.
With a few clubs interested I get the impression that the asking price for Guedioura has gone past our valuation of him. This guy sounds very similar but is 6 years younger which means we might make a bit of money on him in a few years.
I don't understand this one. Southampton sent him back due to him claiming that he couldn't settle in England and that he didn't like Koeman's high intensity training. Why would be now want to come back to a country where he couldn't settle and enjoy life?
The more I read about Taider the more I like him. Can play in a holding role with an excellent range of passing, can be the box-to-box player Guedioura was and started against Germany in the World Cup playing behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1. Plus United and Arsenal were after him as well as Inter when they signed him.
