What's the difference? Finding it out himself would be asking someone to tell him...otherwise he's just making it up.

Umm...isn't that journalism? People tell journalists things and they then write about them. Are you expecting him to bug the boardroom or infiltrate the Pozzo family or something?

Weren't the two ringleaders at the end of last season supposed to be Ranegie and Ekstrand?

This could explain the fact that Ranegie was training with the squad all week but 'injured' for last night. A maybe even explain the rumours linking him away.

Less likely, but still, I wonder if this could explain Ekstrand's red card? Is it possible he purposely got himself sent off?

We know he is a dirty player, he had 4 red cards in 73 games in the Swedish league.

So we've now reached a point where we are accusing players of getting deliberately sent off?

Wow. I know there was a photo of Eggstrang smoking but is this a bigger smoking gun??

As I said, I know its unlikely.

But, if you take into account the rumours of Ekstrand being one of the ringleaders in the anti-Sannino group, and his poor disciplinary record, I felt it was worth mentioning.

Hmmm, if Sannino viewed Ekstrand as a serious trouble maker surely he would have had him shipped out during the summer and not have started him in the opening matches?

Given Ekstrand's poor season last year, I doubt too many people would have been too concerned had he gone.

This is escalating. I wouldn't be surprised if Beppe is found floating face down in the Grand Union Canal and the whole squad remanded in custody before the Leeds game.

A good manager needs to be respected so he can get the best out of his players
A good manager needs to communicate clearly so everybody understands their role
A good manager needs to get results

If we read JM's tweets it appears Beppe is not respected.
We know he can't communicate in English at a respectable level
With the players at ones disposal, could anybody have got the recent results

Obviously, any competent British-born manager needs to be able to communicate in French, Italian, Spanish and Serbian, and that's why Fergie never got anywhere.

Doyley on Sannino after Man City

"Yes [you could see Sannino's coaching style against City]. In the first half we were very compact, very structured, we all knew what we were doing and then he gave us the freedom to do what we wanted in the attacking third. That showed with Fernando Forestieri and Troy Deeney flicking balls around the corner and the players were allowed to do what they wanted in attack. But he does want us to be more solid."

"The formation worked really well," Doyley continued. "We knew we were coming up against a good team and we knew we had to stop them from playing.

"We work on formations every day of the week and our manager likes to be organised, he likes a structured team, with everyone knowing what they are doing, and in the first half I think that showed.

Doyley said: "As you can see from him on the touchline, he is vocal and passionate – he loves to run up the touchline to get his message across and that is what he is like in training.
"He wants us to be passionate, he wants us to be hungry and show a bit of anger on the field..."to play for the town, the supporters and the club"...That is how he is as a man as well."

Shame if the players didn't like this or Sannino couldn't convince them.

Not clear on your point. We are an English club with a predominantly English staff. The manager will need to inspire and communicate in English and make translation provisions for any player not fluent in that language

You have taken a bit of stick for this suggestion, but I think I can see the idea you are getting at. Anyone who has coached or played a team sport will be aware what an unhappy player is capable of doing and the mental state/mood of a player has a huge impact on a playing field. An unhappy player might be less inclined to avoid controversy on the pitch and perhaps be a little more reckless, subconsciously awaiting the consequences of the misdeeds. The cliché of a team "playing for the manager" comes to mind. As I have not yet had a chance to see the team playing live, I cannot make any judgement on that. I do not, however, believe that Ekstrand deliberately sought to get sent off.

    Thank you.

I have always said it was unlikely but was just putting it out there as a possibility.

For all we know Ekstrand is unhappy at not being allowed to join Cardiff, if those rumours were true.

Some people have wrongly thought that I am stating this as truth and have slated me but after seeing how much abuse EMID got for starting this thread I am not too worried on their opinions

Yeah, the club have been a bit sheepish about any Eggstrang move to Cardiff.

Rumours on twitter that Ekstrand, Pudil, Abdi, Tozser and McGugan were the ringleaders, which is why they were dropped. Don't shoot the messenger.

    Look at it this way.

If someone hated their boss and had a chance to make their boss look bad, and increased pressure on their job... would they do it?

IF the rumours about Ekstrand's behaviour at the end of last season are to be believed, then there surely is a possibility he would do this.

To be fair, it would explain why we didn't appeal the sending off and why Eggstrang had scabs on his knuckles.

Some things dont add up to me.

Surely if there were so called trouble makers we'd have got rid of them in the summer (especially if it was ranagie amd ekstrand who are hepardly irreplaceble)? And surely if they all hated Sannino so much the club would know and would have gotten rid of him in the summer?

'Nothing in it' said the people who were there.

Seems like quite a lot in it.
