    Wales didn’t perform. Mistakes galore.
Well done Pumas. Should do wonders for the sport in Argentina.

As an aside, what a difference with the intelligent conversations with the onfield and TMO officials to audibly explain decision making, some of which are controversial, but everyone present at the game understands the decision making process.
Compare with the utter chaos within the unheard (to the crowd) conversations of VAR to onfield officials in football, where nobody knows wtf is going on!

You can never write off the All Blacks!

Excellent game - tough on Ireland but think NZ deserved to win .

If Sexton didn’t miss that relatively easy penalty, they could have won the match with a drop goal or a penalty and I think they’d have done it.

    Finest of margins.

Woeful waste of 3 lineouts towards the end of the first half. All overshot, criminal. No wonder Elias didn't emerge for the 2nd half.

Really missed Faletau, Reffell in the back Row 3 is no replacement.

Biggar knobbled during the first half and Liam Williams later didn't help matters and Costelow as evidenced by his mistake for the intercepted try and his ultra-conservative touch-kicking is no where near ready to be plating in a game of that magnitude in such an important position.

Apart from Tomos Williams and the lively Rio Dyer the other replacements didn't really contribute enough while the Argentina replacements kept their performance levels high. Michael Cheika really is a wily old Fox.

On another day, the Argentina player gets a yellow card for the tackle on Tompkins and that penalty gets reversed, and Rees-Zammit scores in the corner and Wales don't need to chase the game.

Them's the breaks. Anyway, it's a team in transition and a useful learning experience for many of the players.

Never ever, write off New Zealand and never start a game against them with the complacency Ireland showed in the opening quarter. It's all well being Ranked 1 in the world and on a 17 match winning streak, but it means nothing when you get dumped out of the World Cup QFs again. Wayne Barnes is not many people's cup of tea but he was very clear about what he didn't like and why he penalised, was it Porter? Constantly moaning to him when things don't go your way is just being a pr1ck.

Just mic the referee and watch player behaviour improve. Trouble is they will never do it.

Felt very effed off after the Wales game but after watching what happened in the Ire v NZ game and the top ranked side getting dumped out, I don't feel so bad. That's the emotion of sport for you. France v South Africa is going to be THE game though. I have a sneaking suspicion that South Africa will win this. Just checked the team announcement and De Klerk and Pollard are both on the bench. What a stupid decision. If they lose a tight game again from missed penalties then that's the coaches goose well and truly Biltonged.

I went to watch one of my friends play for Met Police at OMT.

By then I'd watched football for probably fifteen years and was used to the physicality of a contact sport.

    This was eye opening.

I could hardly watch and Phil played on the wing, was a good player, fast and had played for Wasps.

I asked my friend how she could watch. She replied " I don't".

Six weeks later Phil had his jaw broken in four places and had it wired. He had to use a straw for nourishment for a month.

    Hideous sport.

Another lad went to St Albans School.

I told him to avoid rugby or he'd be constantly injured.

His mother told me there was an ambulance outside Woolams Sports Ground every Saturday.

    Great sport.
Makes a man of todays cotton wool protected namby pampy boys usually not allowed to go out and certainly not to climb trees, play contact sports or do anything too strenuous.
Must be kept in mummy’s eyeline indoors in the warm where they can play on their expensive electronic device and eat pizza and chips and drink sugary drinks.

Broken bodies, early onset arthritis and dementia to look forward to for todays young rugger buggers
    Or
Early onset diabetes for todays young game players.
    The dilemma for todays parents.

    NZ SA final upcoming.

Well that was very close again .

Seemed to go to pot for 5 minutes then wake up in the final 10 minutes .

Don’t think we will get past SA or France tbh .

Fiji masters of their own downfall again. Play a banana booted place kicker to miss easy points and generally poor kicking out of hand including that woeful touchfinder penalty right at the end. All the flicks and tricks count for nothing if you can't do the basics right.

Almost nobody in Fiji would dream of pairing red trousers with a mustard polo shirt and those funny leather shoes that look like boats with a lace that goes round the side. What are they even doing in the competition in the first place?

Wow, what a game. Even better than the game last night. Unbelievable intensity. Congratulations to SA, that was will to win personified. That's why they are reigning World Champions.

Oh dear, the hosts are out. Snigger.

Lo and behold the winning points come from Handre's boot with that stupendous penalty from within his own half.

Not quite as good as this classic one though.
