Absolutely right, Pots. He may have been unlucky at palace, but he certainly got nowhere at Norwich, even though he only had the woeful Drury ahead of him. Maybe he's a late developer - I've never seen him play - but he certainly owes Bournemouth, and if he's our kind of person I would have thought he would have been patient and hoped for a chance in the summer. Putting in a transfer request when they're going for a promotion that would mean so much to the club just isn't right.

 

But that wasn't near the end of a crucial season for them.

Hodson signed a 3 year deal in 2009, where do these rumours start you cant be released untill your out of contract.

 

I too think the Hodson to be released rumours are absolute jibberish.

Whether he's playing well or not, that's only form and can be sorted. It's clear to see he's a prospect who could go on to become a good player for us for a number of years.

He's a Northern Ireland international at 19, he plays out of position and does well there (as HH says), where is the sense in letting him go? Common sense needed!

 

He had a cold and a sore throat, needs to man the f**k up to be honest.

I had glandular fever when I was at university. It first seemed to be a rather nasty bug which I got over quite quickly, but it suddenly came back and laid me out for a couple of weeks, with total loss of energy (OK, even more total loss of energy). It took me a long time to get back to full fitness.

..watched Bmth v Rochdale yesterday, not a bad game but was impressed with Wiggins. was confident and composed on the ball and very attack minded, always looking to bomb forward on the overlap, taking on players and a good end product... a bit of a poor mans ashley cole.

wonder if we still are after him? i think he would be a great signing.

 

Thanks for that, sounds really promising and something we've been missing, was he equally adept defensively? I'm pretty confident we will sign this guy should no deal with Andrew Taylor take place.

Thought his all round game was good. Happy with ball to feet and confident to pass / play out of defence. When defending he's quick and strong. I'd like to see him at the vic, but can he step up? I think he'd suit us perfectly.

Bloke at work is a Bmth fan, when I spoke to him about Wiggins he rated him highly and hoped he wasn't going to go.

He said the same Shwan Jalal when we were meant to be intrested in him

 

Maybe we still are interested, but our people who are ITK have been shwan to secrecy.

 

I expect Wiggins to be Shwan the door in the Summer.

Watched the Bournemouth match on Sky today and thought Wiggins played brilliantly. Defended really well, dangerous going forward and also very handy with set pieces.

Agreed, won the penalty they missed with a great move. Got a feeling his price just went up though!

 

Think if they stay down we'll be signing him and the keeper Jalal, come on Huddersfield!

 

He was quick too, which is a feature our back four seems to be lacking.

Left back is a position that a lot of teams struggle with, so a decent one, such as Wiggins will probably be very sort after.
