Glad to see someone giving him a chance, seeing as the rest of the forum “experts” have declared him to be the worst footballer to have ever played the game.

 

Look back at the Championship last season. The sides who went up had strikers who scored 43, 29 and 16 goals.

Now say with confidence that so far we have any striker who will hit double figures.

Tell me which midfielder you think might surpass 5 goals?

There are barely any goals in our squad. What’s our answer? To go for two absolutely cheap unproven punts up front from outside the EFL. The usual cheap skate ‘we are cleverer than the rest’ approach.

And this at a time too when the club have been telling us how important it is to have more homegrown talent.

It’s just horrific. And sadly all so predictable.

 

At least RS2 is being honest, you know absolutely nothing about him either, but decided to base your whole opinion on the fact he signed for (but never played for) your other club, and subsequently declare yourself more knowledgeable than someone who actually worked directly with them.

Not being a clapper, but if we are going to play 2 strikers up top, then there's every chance we are still going to be in for a striker even if this guy signs (possibly 2 if JP isn't going to be considered an out and out striker). As for where the goals are in our side, I think JP will get around 15, Bayo about 10, and Louza (if he stays!) should chip in with a decent amount judging by his record in Ligue 1. More worried about the defence, apart from Samir at a push, I don't think any of our current options will be very well suited to Edwardsball, and I don't hold out much hope that we do improve in that regard

 

My guess would be we try for a loan signing in attack. Hopefully Archer.

Thing is, people will excuse it by saying 'you can't expect them to rebuild the whole team in one window.'

But they didn't rebuild any of the team in either of the last 4 windows either.

It's gradually getting worse and worse and they keep making the same mistakes as ever.

Instead of filling up from the top, they keep padding the squad out from the middle and bottom. More players who don't improve the team at all. Just bodies who may or may not be bought at a price which enables a small profit later on.

 

If we get Archer (I have my doubts), then that's a very saucy looking front line, I don't think even Nath could find fault in that!

 

Look at how it worked out last summer. Must have been 8 or 9 players in. Most of them have gone already or would have if anyone would take them.

I have watched him a lot, seeing as he’s a Barca player. Just like Watford players, I follow players I’m interested in, even if they are loaned to other clubs. It’s natural to tune in to see how they are getting on. I posted an honest opinion over him. Not sure why it upset you so much, but I’m sure you have your reasons……but I don’t want to hear about that and you’re going in my ignore list as I can’t be bothered with ****heads these days.

 

I'd hope we're signing another two strikers on top of Baynaj. Probably another from Mogi's sh!theap in Belgium and someone on loan from the PL who we think will be great but turns out to be utter todd.

Because Richarlison from the similar xG has 1 non-pen goal per 361 minutes
Jimenez has 1 non-pen goal per 528 minutes
While Manaj has 1 non-pen goal per 590 minutes
(JP and KIng also had 543 and 563 respectively)

 

I heard he met Manaj in the tunnel at half time of the Cagliari game and told him 'I don't have the money to buy you, but do you have any cousins that can play like you in Albania?' and Manaj replied 'One day you'll be in a club which can buy me'.

Today is that blessed day.

 

It's nailed on to be a real goal fest at the Vic this season.

Not sure about that, Manaj seems a better all-round player.

Main question mark is actual goalscoring where neither of them seem that good. Manaj has 1 non-pen goal per 590 mins in Serie A;
while JCH has 1 non-pen goal per 429 minutes in the Championship.

Hard to tell which of the two strike rates is more crap for their respective divisions.

 

He was hampered by injuries early on and was pretty poor under Ferguson, picked up very well under McCann. Got a very decent left foot on him, scored some decent free kicks for them in league one.

 

This is one of the potential main issues for me, he's another who doesn't seem too bad for a squad option, but signing him makes it seem highly unlikely we could also squeeze in another additional non-HG CF. So that would effectively rule out the likes of Piroe and Luca Joao being additions.

 

They cost money which isn't greasing Mogis palms. So it's a no.

 

If it's Archer we're signing I'm not complaining!

 

You can rule Piroe out anyway because that story wasn’t even true.
