I think people have been doing dirty protests at the Vic for years.

Have you ever been to a game vs that lot? Just a question and not a criticism as I'm aware there are a few fans who are not bothered by that lot partly due to the fact we've barely played them for 15 years or so

I had a season ticket from about 1994 to 2013, so would have just seen a few home games when I was a young kid in the mid 90s, and then probably the league game at home in 2006. So not many.

Certainly the 2006 game was rather tame compared to the violence at the League cup tie in 2002.

I remember playing them twice on a Tuesday evening in the 90s.

Think on one occasion we scored a late equaliser ( Bazeley scored ?)

Atmosphere for the league cup game was as bad as I've ever witnessed at Watford so not sure if you saw that. Games up there were probably worse. I'm gutted to be missing the one in a few weeks. There have been other teams we've had a little bit rivalry with, Brentford, QPR, not Bournemouth, bizarrely Ipswich for a few years but none come close to that lot, it's on a whole different level

i have refused to speak to people because I know they support Luton. That game in 2002 was up there for the most violent inside and outside the ground that I’ve ever witnessed in almost 50 years of going. There is and always will be only one club in the world that I genuinely despise

But again, just because it matters to other fans doesn't mean it does to me.

Luton is the only place in my life I have taken a proper beating as a young lad after four bald manthumbs in their 40s ran out of a pub. My curtains were no match!

    *Correction*
Gino will continue to sack anyone outside of his inner circle, whilst simultaneously refusing to accept any responsibility or change his ways.

If I genuinely thought that he'd make the changes to his management style that would stop our tailspin, I'd be Pozzo-In. But I don't believe he will ever change. Gino's gonna Gino.

Probably you'll never feel it as strongly as others because the violence of the olden days seems unlikely to be repeated. But it's shame for you really as having a rivalry can give you extra pleasures. I absolutely love seeing that they've lost for example. And their relegations are joyous occasions. But on the other hand, every victory is like a dagger to the heart and a promotion puts me in a murderous rage, so perhaps you are lucky after all. Just worrying about one club's results leads to a less stressful like I suppose.

But I'd hate them even if they weren't our rivals. How can you not despise fans who chant the name of tommy robinson at home games? Or who's hero is curb crawling david pleat? Or who regularly are involved in hooliganism, beating up women and children?

In a way we are lucky that our rivals really are the bogeyman, and it is not silly to despise them. Every rightminded fan in the country hates them! Whereas just hating a team for being located close to you is a bit ridiculous. Norwich hating Ipswich (and vice versa) for example. What's the point? Two completely inoffensive towns hating each other. It's just daft. But those neanderthals up the road? You'd be daft NOT to hate them.

Yes they were. The ones in the 80s were grim and so was the one on opening day in 93 when we had two sent off.

Sadly I went to most of those. I was there when there was no away fans but plenty of Watford got in but surprisingly very little trouble

You have to laugh, we all saw the Pozzo Out banners at Stoke, but come gametime, there were absolutely no such chants, just light-hearted jibs about managerial sackings...

I wonder how many of those not attending are doing a 'silent protest' and how many just can't make mid-week games. It was pretty empty last night, so perhaps the general consensus amongst regular fans is worse than just the few angry voices on here that some posters claim.

Equally it might've just been a particularly exciting episode of Eastenders.

Also, most Jewish fans wouldn't have been there due to it being Yom Kippur, and we have quite a large number of Jewish fans I think. Add in those who are fed up, can't make evening games or kids who had school in the morning and that's a lot of empty seats.

The problem is the regime will just blame it on fair weather fans not liking the championship anyway, rather than dare look closer to home.

They had there moments. Remember hearing a chant about Graham Taylor outside the ground about 15 mins into the game and Old Bill let them in because they thought they were Watford and about 40 of them arrived in the middle of our terrace one Boxing Day or the one where they got on the pitch after one game and broke up a terracing and launched the rocks into the Watford end who were packed in and being held behind by Police.

Mind you we got some revenge when we took the rogue coach there in 94/95 and got out on the Dunstable Road with no escort. That was an eventful "stroll" to the ground.

There has to be a proper demonstration next week. Pozzo’s had free reign to do what he wants for 10 years and has taken us backwards. Time our fanbase realised what was happening in-front of them and grew a spine.

With a 7:45pm kick off on a Saturday, a lot of booze will be sunk before the game.

Play like we usually do (i.e. p1ss poor) and it might actually spark a significant reaction.

Trouble is, the only reaction I’m having to recent performances given the stupid kick off time and fact it’s on the box is to not go. I’d happily throw verbal pelters at Pozzo but can’t see any point in the journey.

The 1980 rip-off 0-1 defeat at their place was 'fun'. The Bogside took 'The Maple' and it was fun to see their hard lads desperately climb over the fences to get onto the pitch.
Later, not so much fun as the Old Bill paternally watched them lob whatever they could lay thir hands on at us.

If a protest can be organised before the Norwich game then I'll be going purely to participate in that. Otherwise I won't be going to the game, if there's no protest then hopefully an increasing number of empty seats might send a message to Pozzo. I doubt it though, he probably won't even go to the games from now on.
