Trouble for a night game they will probably just blame the time and fact it’s a TV game . I’d almost feel it might work for a normal 3pm kick off .
But TV works better for getting attention from a much wider audience. A "Pozzo Out" or "love football, hate Mogi Bayat" banner on Sky Sports would go down a treat.
Probably won’t be many protests too many middle class happy clappers amongst our support who are to afraid to offend anyone. Genuinely saw some fans clap the players off yesterday. I witnessed people moaning about swearing and one bloke have a full on melt down because someone threw an empty bottle after the third goal went in. Probably the softest fans in English football. Gino could **** in a lot of our fans coffee and they still wouldn’t say a word.
Rocks, stones thrown at us in the Kennilworth Road End AND ***** fans attacking each other, from the Oak Road End and the corner of the Main Stand,KRE. Attacked in the Sainsbury's car park and chased from the ground, all in the '80s. Fans in the Main Stand clambering to get to us when we won 2-0 and no away fans but David Evans had given me two tickets. Hideous place and as RC says they're not overly popular. There was a ***** flag at England games during the away fans ban and other fans would spit on it as they passed it.
Nothing surprises me anymore with our fans. The players were clapped off as the home defeats mounted up last season and even got a good clap when relegation was confirmed at Palace!
What about a big chant of Mogi Mogi Mogi Out Out Out one for the anti-Thatcherites to embrace as well. (has that been done yet?)
I knew there was a reason I don't drink coffee, espresso apart! Unfortunately I can't unsee this image!
While this is extremely pedantic it did annoy me that a large group of fans chanting Pozzo Out were saying his name wrong. If we’re going to get 19,000 people shouting Pozzo Out I just hope we can all say it correctly!
I used to coach a lad who could never, EVER pronounce anyone's name correctly, even straightforward ones! He somehow managed to change Martin Buchan the ex Man Utd and Scotland defender who went to work for Puma as Martin "Boo kan". I suppose I should be thankful he managed "Martin". He's a tennis commentator now on Amazon Prime!
If you thought that was bad, be glad for the small mercy of not having to listen to the Blackpool commentator on the dodgy stream.
The same, slightly to the right of Genghis Khan. I coached his daughter and he gave me large wads of cash to play full time. He also gave me a souvenir book of *****'s Mickey Mouse cup win v Arse. I tore it up and used it as ticker tape!
was best way to watch it. Most of the game the camera angle was from a distance in the sun so impossible to know what was happening
I have made my banner. I decided not to waste electricity and wash the bed linen,it seemed appropriate. It's not exactly the Sistine Chapel as far as art but it is to the point and not vulgar!
Looks like things are ramping up significantly. Even 1881 have finally got on message but are particularly slow on deciding about how to do this. Very poor but not surprising. Have heard of actions planned by a couple of different sets of supporters, some more lively that others but it is all heading in the same direction. Think things are going to get worse before they get better, will probably turn very toxic and a bit messy but the people want to be heard and they all react differently.
It won't take long to organise, given social media etc. Someone on one of the podcasts said outside the ground by the GT stand is a good place as that's where Pozzo,SD and Mango Buyback enter. Appropriately enough near the hospital. Don't wear your best sandals!
Ha ha, true! I have seen rumours of the clubs social accounts blocking those who criticise. As a result of that I am going to leave any details I hear off posts as I am sure the club are going to try and shut these down. Suffice to say there are some really p1ssed off fans, think things are going to escalate quickly. If the derby game goes the wrong way it’s going to be interesting.
Feel compelled to say that it’s very disappointing that the club ie Gino has been stopping fans entering the ground with Pozzo Out etc banners . Freedom of speech and right to demonstration is a fundamental value of any democracy and one that is firmly entrenched in this country’s history . Although strictly speaking Gino owns the ground , morally speaking the space within it is owned by Watford fans because they were here before Gino and will be here long after , and consequently they should be allowed to express their feelings without censorship. Having said that , it doesn’t necessarily mean I want Gino out , I just believe that people should be able to express that freely .
On another note , full respect to the Blackpool fans as they made a lot of noise for a home crowd . Probably even better than when I’ve been to Elland Road who have been the noisiest home fans I’ve come across to date .
It's going to take a lot to get through to people like this. https://twitter.com/watford1881/status/1578768831874752513?t=Qxvgjk__80-ANlAdJ0f-dg&s=19
My thread got a quote. Fair weather fan apparently. Think the person is incapable of processing written text.
I share your pain. It is equally annoying to me when heathens pronounce Pizza as "Pete sir" when it should be "Pitsa"
I have a horrible feeling 25 years on that this is not beyond the realms of possibility but that in any loss event it will be the catalyst for the change or at least acceleration of a change in ownership that most of us now want- what a juxtaposition
I don't care how much I dislike the owners, losing to that lot up the road is not a ******* option to help rid us of Pozzo
Probably the bloke that told me off for swearing at the Brentford home game last season. How dare someone swear at the football
