I am not sure those clubs would unless he came back and showed some amazing form but yes someone will and whoever will face backlash and some support from people.

There would be a few who might think he ought to be allowed back straight away !

Bizarre that you keep going on about the Depp case which was a civil one. He sued her for defamation and she counter sued him, it’s about as far away from the Greenwood case as you could get.

Wow, I mean, either you can't have been paying much attention, you're an idiot, or you're just flat out lying.

Depp sued her for defamation because, as with Greenwood and his girl, she had insinuated that he physically abused her. Both Greenwood and Depp obviously then sought to show that this insinuation was false. In both cases no instances of physical abuse by them were found.

It also turned out that much of the abuse Heard claimed was faked bruises and other injuries, as well as recordings where she had tried to set him up - including by planting cameras then attempting to provoke him.

Both females even wanted to get back, or stay, with the guys even after they'd made their accusations - Heard begged Depp to get back together soon after she'd gone to take out a restraining order against him with a fake bruise. Greenwood and his girl now seem to be back together again.

The potential parallels are many and obvious.

Highly predictable that Sean Dyche would get a win in his first game as Everton manager .

Even had Doucoure playing well .

Highly predictable it would be 1-0.
Highly predictable it would against a “pretty footballing” side.
Highly predictable the goal would be scored by a CH.

Ratboy’s post-match comments today are truly legendary. Apart from nearly crying and blaming everyone else for how terrible a job he’s doing, he actually describes himself as one of the best coaches in Europe whilst at Luton.

    Incredible scenes.

Thomas Frank probably got to him .

  10. It's such a damn shame that Liverpool squeezed that one single title they did recently.

With their current demise and the charges of Arsenal and Chelsea plus the resurgence of Newcastle and Manchester United on top of Manchester City's continued progress, it seems possible they won't win another title for another 30 years now.

As much as I’d love to see Everton go down, there’s something majestically beautiful about seeing a Dyche team $hithouse their way to a 1-0 win over a title challenger.

One of my Saturday 10am group is a Spurs st holder and he messaged me at full time with a supportive message for Dyche.

I asked if they were time wasting after two minutes and scored from a corner?!

Meanwhile whatever one thinks of the club it was apposite that Man UTD won yesterday on the sixty fith anniversary of the Munich tragedy.

I wasn't born then but have read David Meek's brilliant and moving account and remain deeply affected by it,much so the Superga that wiped out the great Torino side.

There's something dreadfully sad about athletes dying young.

My favourite A E Housman wrote the poem "Ode to an athlete dying young".

Just happens to be my late brother's birthday tomorrow too.

RIP Laurence and all who perished that fateful day in 1958.

We can take some solace in the fact that Jones is universally hated in Southampton, for his results and demeanour. His post match interview yesterday was hilarious. Claims he was one of the best managers in Europe, and the reason they're doing so badly is because he's compromised, but he's still one of the best.

Impressive scoring record for Kane but would he swap a few goals for a winners medal or two?

Someone should tell him that Luton aren't doing any worse without him and didn't last time to some extent winning promotion from League One I think it was.

Really going to win over the players calling them pampered...

As someone just talk on Talksport he isn't at "little Luton in the Championship now"

Grealish must be infuriating to play with.

Constantly keeps the ball when he could pass, just to include his little tricks and feints.

    Maddening man!

Don't you dare speak ill of him after he did that goal celebration for that little kid in the world cup .. Doesn't matter what he does now.
He's earned the title "saint" (as opposed to the little goblin who just gets it with his employment contract for the next 2 or 3 months).

I don't know about that,I keep away from all things Grealish. Looks dirty to me,needs a good wash!

Abu Dhabi have been found out.

Work hard, kick them a bit and hit them on the break.

Palace have done it a few times. Brentford, Saints and now Spurs.

Pip looks like he needs Miss Haversham!

The new owners at Southampton are very clever guys and are very good with data, but I feel they've not factored in a bunch of important stuff that data can't track. Jones was undeniably very good at Luton and i'm sure him/Luton were near the top in some metrics but his methods require a lot of player buy-in to make them the aggressive side that Luton were. Whilst this works with a bunch of relatively experienced pros who have kicked around the EFL for a few years it sounds much harder to replicate with a young side mostly compromised of foreign players who might not speak English which obviously makes it much harder to get that buy-in needed in order for them to run through walls for him. That interview was hilariously bad and flags up something else about Jones - his emotions are both his biggest strength but also probably his biggest weakness.

Football is in a real mess.

The capitalist, might-is-right rules of old no longer apply. The richest clubs may generate way more money than the rest but the whole system has been perverted by leveraged buyouts, hedge funds, nation states either loading the clubs with debt that cannot be paid back or by pumping in so much money the rest simply cannot compete.

For the Premier League to tarnish its brand with a charge is extraordinary. Usually they want to pretend everything is hunky-dory in case the sporting integrity (ha!) of the competition is ruined.
