I really don’t want Kucka at the club next season. At best his form will be up and down as we’ve already seen and he will be another year older.

    Winning more games
    Playing more games
    3pm kick offs
    Midweek games
    Decent away days
    A competitive league
Referees who are dreadful for everyone but not weighted towards 6 clubs
And hopefully we will stay down for a few years and shake off some of the parasitical fans and players that we’ve accumulated in the PL.

How can we have parasitical fans? They pay to go and we have lost 8 homes games in a row!

Our fan base has changed significantly since being regulars in the PL and that seems to come with the territory. A resetting of expectations and letting a few of the modern day FIFA brigade to flounce off to Arsenal or wherever will be no bad thing.

Will be interesting to see how many don’t bother turning up next season - can see it being quite a few tbh .

Particularly for mid week games (probably be more than usual with the mid season break for the World Cup )

And if we aren’t at the top which will naturally be the expectation/demand .

Fine, but not sure parasitical is the right word. I mean I guess when we go up we want attendances and revenue to rise.

Yeah maybe it isn't, but you get the gist. There is a sense of entitlement amongst a lot of newcomers that doesn't sit well. I like my football to be entertaining (which it hasn't been for a few years now) and to be delivered by a well run, sustainable football club. This blind obsession amongst many to be in the PL isn't something I share.

Me too though I must say the occasional headline grabbing wins in the prem were massively enjoyable, as was watching a team containing Capoue, Doucoure, Pereyra, Deulofeu, and Gray holding their own for a while in the top league.

it will be tough going back to playing the Prestons of this world on a level footing and hoping for wins against the big boys like N Forest.

It doesn't sound as glamourous, but away trips to Milwall, Preston, Forest, Sheff Utd appeal far more than City, Liverpool, United & Chelsea.

What on earth is the appeal of an away trip to Millwall?

London Bridge for a few pre match beers, easy train ride to the ground, decent stadium with some character, and usually a competitive game.

The refs are poor, but so is the football. It’s fecking awful having to go back to playing some of the dross in that league.Unfortunately I’ve just got to suck it up, pay for the ST and just hope we do better than I think we will . At least every two months we get to greet a new coach. There is no one in this league I will get to sign my autograph book.

It’s going to be hard to get enthusiastic for next season for a while because ultimately you want to be in the top league, testing yourself against the best. The excitement of winning matches in the PL can’t be matched in my opinion, although sadly this season of course it’s not something we’ve experienced that much.

Plus next season will start in July, which is crazily early. And of course it breaks for the World Cup, so any momentum we might have would be lost, and conversely if we aren’t doing well then it will present our owners with a huge test of their alleged new resolve not to panic and start firing.

But in the spirit of the thread..

    More matches.
    More chances of a win.
A season with a chance of promotion or play-offs gathers momentum and can be genuinely exciting.
Living 200 miles from Watford, I get to see more matches on the red button, plus I have some away trips such as Bristol City, Cardiff, Swansea etc.
Naive maybe but I’d like to see youth given more of a chance. Baah, Pollock, Asprilla etc.
Maybe less Mogi players will be attracted to join us.
    No Roy Hodgson.

Ultimately we can’t change what league we play in, so we might as well enjoy it whatever.

Haha yes. Assuming Everton do us tomorrow and we can’t beat Leicester either, I wonder which poor Championship team will suffer the indignity of being the first side to lose at the Vic since Man U last November?

That will be quite a badge of shame!

From a selfish point of view, my trips to the Vic will be more optimistic affairs in the Championship. The costs of going to a few games a season from Ireland add up and witnessing losses and being outclassed, is not a good bang for your buck.

I remember when Sunderland came down in about 2003 and they hadn’t won at home in ages .

Guess who their first win was against ..

Both teams would somehow contrive to lose and wed pick up several injuries

But the chances are that we'd rather play Cathcart and Sema.
