I have no idea who Uncle Ron is, or what DNSYE is. But if they're honestly and articulately tearing the club structure to threads, I might listen.

Uncle Ron is articulate. But on this occasion it was just brilliant because you could hear the pain and anguish as he called out the cowardice of Kabasele!

'The Pod' this week is trying to insinuate everybody is demanding Pozzo spends money and comparing it with Newcastle and Mike Ashley, even though nobody has called for more money to be spent and are just questioning where and with who the money is spent. Also, comparing Pozzo's management of funds (the club racking up debt and posting a financial loss pretty much every year) with Ashley (who consistently broke even) is laughable to begin with.

The lack of comprehension some people have is incredible. It’s clear from the accounts that we have spent a vast amount of money the last 4-5 years. Nobody is asking for more money to be spent as you say. It is about how Pozzo prioritises the use of our budget. Operating expenses, agent fees, jobs for his incompetent mates, idiotic contract extensions, transfers that benefit his mate etc.

Completely different circumstances to Newcastle, I think the majority wouldn’t even care if we did a Norwich and spent virtually no money, it’s just the money has been spent appallingly and always on the wrong areas.

Just finished listening to this. I will say they recorded it before the game so perhaps the views will be slightly different this morning - but glad you mention the above.

The pod is full of contradictions, from key talk of loss of trust in Gino and repeated mistakes and bad management, to then sounding like Gino is some becon of financial integrity. I don't truly remember the Jack Petchy period that well, but money in before money out does seem to make sense. Pozzo instead gets money in then the majority simply dissapears with the rest all being directed through a highly questionable agent - I was with a mate today (a Pompey fan) who said we look exactly like they did, from the chaos on the pitch to questionable loans. He also remarked where has the money all gone it's not like you've spent big on anyone.

Back to the Pod, I also can't get my head around why you'd even contemplate "cutting Gino slack". There have been a litany of mistakes since 2019 (again referenced at length in the pod) not just the manager debacle (get a hire wrong once fine, but 9/10 times means you have a serious problem). Beyond this we have had various cases with CAS, the association with Bayat, Giaretta, the list goes on and on.

Lastly, like the 1881, the Pod has got itself tied to close to the club, and I think it seeped through in the way they continually kept pulling themselves back in from what they were about to say (case in point the questions they would like to ask Gino if they had the chance).

The lack of effort by the players is astonishing. Kabasele giving up on Saturday, Kayembe on Wednesday and even our keeper coming out in the local rag - again - to say the players weren't trying their hardest. I find it truly astonishing that they would do that let alone readily admit it.

We are certainly feeling the effects of a lack of leadership at the training ground. Deeney was well past his best on the pitch but we desperately miss his influence off the pitch. As with the defence, there has been no succession planning for the giant leadership hole left behind.

Often fans ask themselves what the players do all week when no plan is evident or another corner fails to clear the first defender.

It's now a case of what the **** do Pozzo and SD do?

I've seen better governance in most GB tennis clubs and that's something I never thought I'd write!

Not just the hole left by Deeney. Will Hughes was the obvious successor as captain and Chalobah stepped in good effect in the promotion season too. Yet neither stayed past the close of the summer transfer window in 2021. It really did leave a void.

The coach has been in place a fortnight and has had three games in a week, which has obviously reduced the amount of meaningful time on the training ground. Travel and rest/active recovery will have swallowed up a lot of time. Bilic has also had to cope with a load of injuries, particularly to the defence.

But, this is a group of professional footballers and even without a detailed tactical plan they should be able to do the basics. If they are as good as they presumably think they are, they should have been able to create a few moments against a team that was fourth bottom and had won just one home game this season (on the opening day).

The lack of bravery from the players is astonishing. Yes, we can accept that last year scarred them but they've dropped down a level and are still playing frightened, cautious football. Every pass is safe. Everything is done slowly. The effort to win the ball back starts too late – they need to pressurise in the opposition's half much, much more aggressively. They don't 'hunt in packs'. They operate as individuals who happen to be wearing the same colour shirt.

It's absolutely maddening. As others have said, the culture of an organisation starts at the top. If we know the club is a conveyor belt of tradable assets and temporary solutions and history tells us the coaches last five minutes, what chance is there of the coaching staff creating a group that bonds together over a period of time with the aim of achieving a common goal.

There were conversations about Hughes getting the armband on a long term basis along with a new deal, and he was subsequently bombed out.

This just reminded me of something I'm sure was said on the FTRE pod which referenced to our strength in depth and how we had a replacement for every position (was during one of the sections lauding Pozzo for sailing close to the wind in the way he does things) and that it was only down to "bad luck" that we were fielding a patched up team.

Was it me imagining or was this said?

I take the point about Chalobah having lost his way in terms of where his career should have gone - but he is far better than Kayembe has ever been, and when you add in the fact he had some sort of leadership qualities, I think there’s quite a gulf in difference.

Amusing tweet musing we could sell Kabasele, WTE and Sierralta for “10-15m” in January to freshen up the back line. Amazing how many people over value our squad. Kabasele is literally of negative value - nobody will give him the contract he has here till end of next season so we’d have to pay him off to get rid.

    Fair enough, agree to disagree.

Personally think Kayembe has had a similar number of good performances that Chalobah had in the first half of our promotion season.

Also have heard rumours he wasn't the best influence in the changing room, and wasn't impressed with his role and lack of apology in #WatfordFCCovidParty2020.

Saying that, I haven't seen any sort of leadership qualities from Kayembe so he can't be any worse, in that regard.

Just ventured on Facebook. Some fellow vented and was met by “be careful what you wish for. Beyond tiring hearing Pozzo out. Get behind the team or support Man City”

Frankly our fans are morons so Pozzo will continue to use the club for his own ends until the administrators come in. These idiot fans better own this after shouting down people who are concerned.

Christ just read another post! Fans are part of the problem apparently.

Uncle Rob is right. Our fans deserve Pozzo.

I reckon 30 want him out, 30 want him in and 40 don’t think about it strongly enough to have a view. Facebook seems pro Pozzo. Twitter seems anti Pozzo. On here I think it leans anti Pozzo but changes according to short term results.

I'm not sure about the percentage but I think most people of a certain age ( 40 plus) have had enough.
It seems to me that most of the "Gino in" brigade are younger and dare I say are almost reveling in the angst and suffering "Watford 'til I die" in effect.

Lose the next three, which is extremely possible and I think we'll have more Watford on Watford physicality.

I agree that there seems to be some age splits, however It feels the most ardent Pozzo in'ers seem to be either mid late 40's or late 20's to mid 30s.
The younger crowd sub 25 seem to fluctuate merely depending on the results, that said there are some there who are very much pozzo out.
Obviously I will caveat the above by saying I'm terrible at guessing people's ages
