    Or Swansea at Brentford two years ago, although that was less surprising as Swansea didn’t finish the season in great form and they’d been a bit lucky throughout based on xG/xGA.

    That’s why the play-off semis (especially the 2nd leg) on the whole are better games than the finals, because often teams go into it with a nothing to lose mentality and/or one team has a deficit to overturn in the 2nd leg, whereas some teams freeze at the final hurdle on the big stage in a one-sided game or a poor match decided by a goal or two.

    Hopefully it will be "a game of two halves" and we see a much more focused Cov second period. Credit to Luton though they have played very well and deserve to lead but it should be more.

    Imagine if our quality of footballer put in the effort of Luton's bunch of marauding cavemen?

    This Luton team has something don't they. A bit of Aidys team combined with Stoke. They'll get hammered weekly if they go up but I can't deny they're very well suited to doing ok in the championship.

    Indeed, and our side under Aidy was very good for the level we were at also. Also, we probably had the strongest side in the division when we went up under Xisco and Joka. It's just painfully so easy to see how far we have fallen away from even competeing well in the Championship to what we turned into, last season especially. I hope next season is a more promising one for us, but this summer is going to be huge.
