£6m though. This means Derby have now splashed £21m on Johnson (£6m), Shackell (£3m), Butterfield (£4m), Weimann (£3m) and Ince (£5m). For the same money we purchased Capoue, Berhami, Prodl, Arlauskis, Holebas, Nyom, Jurado, Britos, Guedioura and Berghuis (with 200 international caps between them). I'm starting to understand why the Pozzos have a phobia of British transfers.......
Good stats on the Derby transfers, I didn't realise that! Whenever I heard Clement on the radio during his time at Real Madrid, he always sounded like a bland and uninspiring type of coach(he gave off a very Nigel Clough type of vibe), but everyone seemed to big him up, so I assume there is some talent there. Another coach who may be better doing his work in the background than being a head coach?
Arsenal rumoured to be looking at Perotti now... Having said that, original source of the story suggests they were in for him during the summer - surely there would've been some whispers about that given how much the Genoa President likes talking to the press? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ego-Perotti-while-PSG-want-Arsene-Wenger.html
I was just taking a look at his stats so far this season - 9 games, one goal, one assist. That goal did happen to come against Udinese, though...
what the heck would Arsenal want Perotti for? I doubt he's even get on their bench with all their class midfielders
Wenger is obsessed with midfielders. Doesn't need defenders, or strikers but can't get enough midfielders.
The whispers were exclusively whispering about Ighalo this summer. There was no whispering space for others.
Says at the bottom of this artcile from last week that Perotti is still on Watfords radar. Milan are after him too and last month there were strong rumours that Arsenal were after him to ease their wide man injury crisis. However now that Walcott and Ox are back, Sanchez next week and Campbell performing so well in the meantime, I cant see Wenger still being interested. Perotti on one side, Iturbe on the other ? Of the bench that is . http://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/milan-still-linked-with-serie-a-s-new-bad-boy-157409
Don't know what the latest ones are saying but the older Whispers used to say " And The Beat Goes On "
Goes to Roma and it won't be long before us and Muff are considering taking him on loan for astonishing amounts of pounds.
Under QSF he would have had 0 goals, 0 assists and berated for playing backwards and would be at Espanyol now.
Unlikely on the bolded part. He wouldn't have even got on the pitch with the first team, despite two double hat-tricks for the U-21s.
