Yeah I know it's a joke but it's a pretty well defined joke ... and the last thing Levy needs is the threat of an embargo so it really depends how much he wants to spend without dodging around the regs.
We all have to bear in mind that even if he doesn't cut it here at Watford, It isn't an Ellinlgump situation, we are not necessarily stuck with him, there is always Udinese or Granada to loan/sell him to.
That's the funny side though - FFP is just a threat. If action were to be taken, a lot of teams would have been hit by now.
So according to media we're taking Kaboul, Capoue, Stambouli, and Paulinho off Spurs. Who else is out of favour there? I imagine there are scheduled rumours in the coming weeks linking us with Kyle Naughton, Roberto Soldado, Tom Carroll, Aaron Lennon....
Almost certainly part of the reason why they keep ruining highly talented players! More than happy for us to pick up the best ones on the cheap and make them feel wanted again.
Di Marizio reporting the Pozzos are putting a deal together for this. Is he the ITK Italian journo or the one whos a complete *******
Spurs are in pretty good shape. They made a profit of £26m before player sales and £80m overall after including the Bale sale in the 2013/4 season. Given PL sides can make a net loss of up to £105m for the three years including that one he can afford to unload some if he is minded to do so as he has c £185m to " play with" including last season and this coming one With regard to the Europa league then the permitted loss under UEFA is £25m over a rolling 3 years so that £80m will still be included for next season meaning a loss of over £100m is permitted excluding the results for the season just finished
He's about as well connected as it's possible to be in Italy. I think the ******* you're thinking of is Emanuelle Gianelli or something. Bit of a wannabe. Posted lots of Watford news claiming to be in the know and stopped as soon as he got called out on it. Now he's been pulling the same trick on Leeds fans since Cellino took over.
He's a good player. He was arguably one of their best players in his first season & only lost his way last season. Capped for Brazil on more than a few occasions I believe
Cant see the player agreeing to go there though. Chinese league is where old players go for one last pay check. This guy needs to get his career back on track by playing in one of the big leagues
They're willing to give him 90k a week and have agreed around 10m with Spurs, apparently. Wow. Scolari is manager there, so makes sense in that regard.
What have The People's Republic of China & Watford FC got in common? Both have the money to buy good footballers but nobody wants to go there
Why would a 26 year old go to China? That's a retirement home for old footballers looking for a payout.
If spuds have ruined him and he doesn't think he's good enough for more than a 3rd rate backwater league then its probably as well we don't get him
Quite. If he is even considering China at his age he's not the type of player any premier league team should want.
He was on £70k a week at Spurs www.caughtoffside.com/2013/06/22/to...nfederations-cup-midfielder-to-treble-salary/
He knows it won't massively affect his international career. Diego Tardelli made the Brazil squad for the Copa America despite playing in China for the season. Also paulinho is actually semi-decent and Tardelli is ****.
