I just believe if we get fobbed off a new group of anti Gino will harden. He can't win if he doesn't do something drastically different.

If they straight bat everything again I doubt there is an appetite to accept it especially if there is no success to hide the general craziness of his ownership

Sounds like actions of a club that are really open to scrutiny…

    That's ludicrous.

We should all be unfurling that banner. Kick us all out.

Exactly what I said this campaign should have been - a huge banner, made of the same material as previous banners that the club approved. And no one would be in any doubts that it’s the messaging the club are stifling and don’t give them the excuse of ‘it’s flammable/blocks peoples view’ etc.

But people seem more bothered about getting podcasts together to ask tame questions and allowing Gino and Co to kick the can another few years down the road.

Very very poor of the club to eject fans for holding up banners. I am sure there's a clause somewhere in the T&Cs about banners and other objects but the club didn't mind when the banners were of Pozzo's big face and the message was 'Watford Loves You More Than You Will Know.'

Bottom line – if the banners are civil and not profane there's no legitimate reason to shuffle a supporter out of the ground for having one.

If he can't take the rough with the smooth it speaks much, much louder than any words Pozzo could possibly say to the fans now. Basically any dissent is quashed, any protest silenced. Sorry, pal, it's not actually your club. You're just looking after it for a while. And when things go bad, we reserve the right to tell you.

Absolutely stupid move by the Club. Now there will be more banners.

Are they told to do this by the club? What is Gino so scared of? Does he expect us to put up with it forever and not say a word? He must really hate us as a fanbase. It's disgusting behaviour by the stewards but it's the people who issued those orders who need taking to account.

Gino has bundles of sticks ready for the real fans. He's the all knowing, all powerful Lord of Vicarage Road. When in actual point of fact he's a clueless feckwit.

    Clearly have been told.

As someone else pointed out, the extra security gather around the pitch in advance of the FT whistle. Clearly fearful fans would storm the pitch. Gino has lost it.

Oh what? I’ve never once suggested I have built up a following enough to get a plan off the ground like you’re suggesting. But I’ve been civil enough with the people who are about how I would go about doing something. Stop acting all butt-hurt just because people aren’t getting in board with this campaign.

Sorry mate you can’t have it all ways. You cry when you feel like you’re attacked - and now you have come at me without me even mentioning you.

And all about 2 hours after you DM’d me making some fairly personal comments purely because I don’t back this campaign I’ve hitched your wagon to.

I told you you are free to support it. And I’m free to comment on the fact I think it’s a poorly thought out plan that Gino will run rings around.

At the risk of making a rather inappropriate historical comparison, the stewards are just doing their job. They are not well paid and they have to keep eyes on the crowd from a safety point of view. Someone will have issued a general instruction that banners are not allowed, and it may well be a standard thing, but it's a bad, bad look.

I do agree they are doing a job, but as you said it puts the club even more in a bad light when we cannot even voice our concerns at a live game. I very much doubt the banner holder(s) would of gotten much stick by other fans for it. Arsenal did it, Newcastle and Blackpool did it... never had any distain from the club for doing so. It just goes to show how much Gino's Law runs this club. It's a very sorry thing to even think, let alone say.

I think the thing that's causing the trouble is the sight of a team and a club decomposing before our very eyes. Protests and banners and a general sense of simmering anger are not unusual when a football club underperforms to this degree. So they ban banners. All that'll happen is the protests will be vocal. Then what? Pipe in some cheering over the tannoy to drown it out?

Like all organisations that are in some sort of position of power, it's unwise to try to silence people when they have valid points to make, even if they are critical ones. Not one supporter - no matter how angry - is expressing their view in order to damage the club. In fact, quite the opposite. But, you're right, if they try to shush people down I suspect it won't go well for them, judging by the anger on social media this evening.

I've put a shout out on the DNSYE twitterspace for a call to arms on this.

Be a voice even if it doesn't work. It's better to align with something than arguing for the sake of it.

They will probably say it was over hanging the club advertising.

Like you see flags get moved for that reasons,

Fair play to the bloke. More impact made in one action than 5000 posts from keyboard warriors crying into the echo chamber.
