Chris Eagles Apparently sheff utd, are close to signing eagles. Maybe it would be worth getting him on loan with a view to a permanent deal if we can stay up?
He's rubbish. Never did rate him that highly. He scored a good headed goal at Brammel Lane but it was all downhill from there.
did a very good job for us last season. would be nice as a loan. as many as possible(as long as there half decent) to give us every chance of survival
The Harlequin doesn't have a large enough stock of hair gel for Eagles to return ... No Thankyou !!!! or Not unless Ady can stick something sharp and painful where the sun doesn't shine to get a bit of workrate out of the show pony .... after 2nd thoughts NO
Rumours overnight that we are after these two. Frankly, I hope not - we should be looking to improve the quality not just increase our numbers. Kabba and Eagles would not strengthen our team. http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=26553 http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=26530
True...we probably have enough strikers really for next season if King gets fit and stays out of jail. Eagles was a no-no...does not work hard enough for an Aidy team. Then again we are not going to get any quality in now even if the win on Tuesday has given us a little more hope of staying up.
True, it is unlikely we will get any decent quality in now. But we should not waste money - keep the warchest for the Summer.
steve kabba a hornet?? could well be on his way to the vic. reports from yorkshire, say we have made a bid for the sheff united player for around £500, 000. talks were held on thursday at the vic from todays watford ob
It is in general, Budfrog, as i have opened up a discussion on whether Kabba and Eagles can improve our squad. Read the thread and you may then be able to understand. If that is beyond you I suggest you ask for special needs assistance. I don't think that they are good enough for WFC other than to bulk up the squad - something we don't need right now.
I can read, you simply (very simply that is !!), fail to grasp what the categories are for. Hurry up, or you will miss the school bus
Not impressed Kabba could make a good addition to the squad, but as others have said, at this stage I was hoping for someone who could really make difference, like a top class striker, probably on loan. :-\ :-\ :-\ As for Eagles, sorry but he burnt his bridges as far as I am concerned the last time he was here, he would have to do a lot to change my mind.
Blunts reject To be fair to Kabba, he would make a reasonable addition to the squad, but........ WE NEED TOP QUALITY PLAYERS Come on Aidy, can't you get us some players who could make a real difference, not just more journey men I know they would probably have to be a "LOAN STARS", but that is what we need, and preferably at least two of them
Not convinced, with the money available we should be aiming higher .... from Wikipedia: Steven Kabba (born March 7, 1981 in Lambeth, U.K.) is a professional football player of Sierra Leonean origin who currently plays for Sheffield United Kabba started his career at Crystal Palace but struggled to get into the team, making just 11 appearances in 4 seasons and scoring 1 goal. He was loaned out to Luton Town in 2001-02 making 3 appearances as a substitute but it was during another loan spell at Grimsby Town the following season that he finally made his mark with 6 goals in 14 games. Shortly after his loan spell finished, Kabba joined Sheffield United in November 2002. In his first season his 11 goals in 33 games assisted the team in reaching two domestic cup semi-finals and the Division 1 play off final. After this successful first season his career was interrupted by a sequence of leg injuries allowing him just one appearance as a substitute in over a year. He returned to fitness at the end of 2004-5 Football League Championship season. His main attributes as a striker are his speed and quality of finishing. On December 22, 2006, Kabba was placed on the transfer list along with 7 other players
Could be a good signing. Think he has lost his way a bit cos of his competition at Shef U. Did look really promising so hopefully Aidy can pull off another Marlon with him. As good an option as Collins John and at least he wants to come.
I remember a period at Sheff Utd when he was scoring goals and everyone was raving about him. Seems like it was 2 or 3 years ago now. He seems to have lost his way and a thread on the Sheff Utd Rivals site was accusing him of having an attitude and not trying etc. So could be an excellent signing, big, strong and quick plus can score goals. Just needs some redirection maybe. Step in Aidy
