It looks like in all the games he's started this season he's lasted 60-70 minutes. I don't think his 'fitness issues' are going to be a huge problem. We've seen the same thing with Ikpeazu, he's a similar build and he still rarely completes 90 minutes, but he's getting there at Port Vale.

Yes it's only training, but looks impressive here. Some good finishes. Think he'll surprise a few and make a fair amount of appearances this season.

I like the fact that he looks far more complete than the average 6'5" striker. Some neat touches and passes in all the footage I've seen. Very promising.

I always hear his surname sung to the tune of 'Volare'.

I seem to recall the sound the deathly alien ray guns made in 'Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds' went ' ooooooh laaaa'.

If turned into a chant by 1881 , could strike fear into any of the opposition players who may have mistakenly been under the impression they were living in Edwardian London whilst being attacked by Martians.

They have edited out the 425 minutes of lost balls and miscontrol plus of course he needed a rest after every 30 mins due to fitness issues ;)

  13. Previous experience says its pointless to put too much work into a song, these unknown Pozzo investments can be hit or miss

    so something like...

    'Give me an O'
    followed by a brief clap

Yet across the gulf of space between Beds & Herts, vast numbers of unsympathetic L**** fans regarded Watford's success with envious eyes

    Actually, that's probably true!

Any idea why he was subbed at HT today? Hope it was for tactical reasons..

    Tired.

Put in a decent enough shift, we all know his stamina isn't great.

That is absurd. We signed him over 4 months ago but he's knackered after 45 minutes..

It's a long standing issue with him. He's strong in the air and floor but he is known to tire quickly. It's probably why he has not featured much this season.

he's only 19 and a big lad ... he's always likely to tire this season.

And how many matches have we given him in that time to build match fitness?

That is part of the reason why we have the U21s.

My previous question applies. No that I can imagine U21 games particularly match the intensity needed for first team play.

Seemed tactical As Sissoko was causing problems down our left. Anya allowed a bit of protection.

He's only just 20 and has to carry around a 6"4', well built frame. That takes a toll on a young body.

I'm sure it'll improve with age and a good routine.

I thought he was 6'5"? FIFA so not most reliable source. It had Ighalo as 5'8" in 15!

A full time professional footballer training every day. 6'5" or not he should be able to keep with it better than that... He was blowing like mad after 10... Match fitness should be something that takes its toll in the later stages not the first 45 ! He should be sharpe enough from training over the lst 6 months surely !!

  33. I Blame Pozzo

    I Blame Pozzo First Team

He is probably still growing,as men continue until they are 21.

Needs to grow into his body and clearly needs games too.

    Long term he'll be fine,still a lad.

Hoping we sign another striker to compliment Troy and Iggy. If that does happen then hopefully we can send Oluare out on loan somewhere to get some game time and confidence. We'll probably need him next season if the rumours of Troy and Odion both leaving in the summer come to fruition.

Clearly he's a talent, the Pozzo's wouldn't spend £6,000,000 on a no-hoper, so he needs game time and experience.
