What about these guys should any of them be given a shot with the 1st team squad to see if they could make the step up: -

Bernard Mensah 21; Uche Ikpeazu 20 ; Alex Jakubiak 19; Dennon Lewis 18 and finally Michael Folivi 16 or 17?

Of course, Oulare must be physically the same as Lukaku and Benteke.

The reason given by a few on here for his fitness issues is due to his large frame and age.

Lukaku and Benteke also have a large frame (both 6"3) yet managed to play 90 mins with no issues at that age (20).

So by the logic of many on here, young footballers with a big frame should find it tough to last 90 minutes as they grow in to their body. So why is it just Obbi that seems to have this issue?

Not sure if it was his size but I was really struggling to tell if he was quick or not?

Also great to see the captain constantly talking to him demanding more etc and encouraging Obbi when he did well.

I don't know. Why don't you ask to see his medical notes?

You're asking a question no one on here can possibly have the answer to.

Then why is everyone answering some of the queries about his fitness issues as if they know?

I.e those who are saying its because of his size/age/etc.

Some people seem happy to ignore the fact that if this sub was due to fitness and he really was shattered, that he clearly still does have fitness issues which isn't ideal.

I just don't see why some of those who raised their concerns are being slated for it

Because certain posters around here like to feel ITK. You can tell this when they repeat something they've read and don't give a source because it's some fake account on Twitter.

    Surely you know this?

Because Under 21 football is not the same as Premier League.

You have differing fitness levels, you've got your basic fitness and there's match fitness..which can take between 3 to 6 games, sometimes longer.

The problem with some people on this forum they look at everything in isolation and form their 'beliefs' based on a microcosm. Whereas, some will look at yesterday and then look at the bigger picture and put things into context.

As a forward in a front 2 with the 'defending from the front' philosophy, they have to cover alot of ground to close down space, then have to make runs into channels and be moving constantly...if you're not used to it...it's gets tiring...very quickly.

Look at the amount of work Deeney gets through and sometimes he looks tired but he's at peak of match fitness.

Oulare himself put on Twitter - "So hard after 4 months, happy with my debut. On to the next round. Supporters were amazing..." - so based on the first 5 words I take it the sub was at least partly based on his tiredness.

I don't think anyone is ignoring it. But presumably he only trains and plays in accordance with the club's wishes. If it was just as simple as not being fit enough he'd probably not have a job as a professional footballer... It makes more sense to assume they're phasing him in slowly.

I get that completely, but when you combine having to come off after 45 minutes and his fitness record that Club Brugges fans told us about (i.e even when he was playing regularly in Belgium he was struggling to complete games) then its only natural that some fans will become concerned

I'm not a medical expert however the medical would have tested core strength and lung capacity and can only assume that they are aware of any problems if there are and are managing his development.

However, when players are returning from long term injury they won't play 90 minutes...it's a similar concept.

He can't play for more than two teams in a season can he? He played for Brugges before signing for us and was locked in as he played in the FA cup for us

I think because he's under 21 we don't actually have to register him or something like that? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Good post. Rick Holden always used to look knackered after 5 minutes, but that didn't stop him playing well for 90.

He is young, and he showed some decent qualities against Newcastle (height, strenght, good turn of pace for someone his size, looked to pass in team mates). All he needs is a bit of time to get up to speed and realise how to use his own strength. Deeney should give him so help in using his size and strength to his advantage. It is difficult to play to Flores's high working intensity for someone so young

I just asked for you and because it would be an emergency loan it doesn't count.
I have no idea who the guy is I asked but he has 36 thousand followers so that was enough for me.

We must have another striker very close to signing, if this is true.

QSF sees Arambat more of a striker but certainly not in the mode of Deeney or Ighalo so would imagine a back up striker is in the pipeline.

Either an old semi past it player (Adebeyor/Quagriella?) or a younger one to be prepared for next season (Babacar?)

I think that this would be a good move for Obbi Oulare.

Isn't an emergency loan 28 days? I know they can be extended but I can't remember the conditions surrounding Guedioura loan last season.

With regard to his fitness levels, it's hard to compare him to Lukaku & Benteke as people are simply different.
I think that in Oulare's case he's probably still growing.

I'd like to see him get a good run out at Wolves

I think it would be a very good move - he needs to be getting regular competitive football at this stage of his development.

Apparently scouts for some quite major teams were at our U21 match the other day, scouting Obbi, including Arsenal and Celtic.

Not sure how he played, but I wouldn't be surprised for a club to try and snap him up cheaply due to his past reputation.

Quique is probably less likely to let him get some minutes in the first team than Arsenal or Man Utd, so there isn't really a reason for him to stick around.

We signed him for just over £6million - why on earth would we sell him to a bigger club than us for less than what we paid for him 12 months later - if so maybe he'll be to us what Pogba was to Man Utd.

Plus if he's really good enough that Arsenal and Celtic are interested in signing him then I should damn well hope he starts getting some minutes for us given the current state of our goalscoring.

Maybe now that we're basically safe the agent is using this as a ruse to push QSF in to giving him more minutes during the rest of the season.

The scouts were definitely there, but sometimes agents tell clubs of their players availability, which has probably happened in this case.

I was at the u21 game. Oulare was poor, really poor. Bolton were quite a robust, older, bigger squad that ours and they put it about a bit.

Oulare upset them a bit and it kicked off a couple of times. I'd say he was the easily the fifth best forward on display. He went off after getting battered in the jaw, but not before he missed an absolute 1 on 1 sitter. Someone more wise than me who was also at the game has put on the WML how Obbi shouldn't be anywhere near the first team for the rest of the season based on that. WD Sport were quite kind and diplomatic in their report of OO's non performance.

He and Berghuis are quite the pair. I fear for whoever scouted them...

The scouts list on the gate didn't show anyone from Arsenal or Celtic attending , but hey, that doesn't mean to say they didn't show up unannounced.

Folk from Stevenage, Millwall, Charlton (Mark Stow ex WFC) and Cambridge Utd were there amongst other. Dean Austin and the Italian scouts/coaches from the first team.

    And Steve Kabba.
