Pretty decent lineup minus Cathcart and Kucka who won't last more than 60mins. Glad to see Mr. YT back in goal after a string of poor Bachmann displays. Tufan on the bench, thank god.
Would have preferred Cleverley to Kucka and Sierralta to Cathcart but decent lineup. Hope Kucka is subbed off around 60th minute.
I have to say, I don’t really think Ranieri likes Sierralta. It’s clear by now he prefers Cathcart. I’d rather have Cleverley in there too instead of Kucka. You’d think that Foster immediately coming back in will see Bachmann agitating for a move now in this window.
Newcastle fans saying it's their strongest possible line up, minus Wilson. Lets hope the new boys can impress and surprise us
Our line up is a gamble, but I can’t immediately point to a player on our bench who I would prefer to be starting.
Newcastle fans as meme happy at their lineup as our moronic twitter fans are at ours. Despite it looking utter *****.
Pretty happy with that all round, shockingly - Cathcart is the only question mark, and I would have gone with Sierralta, but we have seen previously that he is able to have his game raised by being with an improved 'senior' partner - let's hope that Samir can represent that... JP and Dennis starting is vital, and Kucka I can accept IF Papa Clau has a plan to replace him with Cleverley as soon as it's clear that he is flagging, and not allow him to geriatric us to a last-minute loss again. Kayembe is of course the great question mark, and probably shyte, but we won't know for sure until 3.05pm.
Remember, this is Watford pygmies playing against Newcastle giants. Please can we just take 3 points off the arrogant disillusionists who have soul sold to the limb-chopping merchants. Remember they won the FA Cup in the 1950s.
I'm sure half an eye has been cast on our next games in the forthcoming days. Some of these players will not be up to 3 x 90 mins in under a week.
All three new guys starting, like most not sure about cathcart and kucka but uncle c sees them everyday in training so hopefully knows best.
That's part of the reason why I would have preferred Cleverley to Kucka. I think Kucka can play about 30 minutes per game in a week that has 3 games.
Surely not! Super subs like King Sema, Tufat and Adam L's BFF? Going to be a excellent watch when the latter two come on.
It's entirely possible these will be two of the substitutions made after an hour. Kucka is a good player who has two poor aspects: His lack of pace and his running out of steam. That second point could be covered by subbing him off after the hour.
Or Kayembe looks horrendous, has to be hooked at half time for Cleverley and Kucka plays the whole game. Or even worse Tufan comes on for him.
From the Guardian: Watford have made six changes for their trip to Newcastle which is a sign of a manager who is unsure of his strongest team. I am currently researching who Kamara, Gomes and Kayembe are.
More like very sure of what his strongest team is not - involving as few players who are already here as possible.
