Probably conserving energy with 3 games this week. If we could take off Kucka and rest him for the remainder of the season then that would be good.

  3. My thoughts - Kucka is Barry Shitpeas.

    Sack of the day.
We are doomed if we are unable to beat the teams that are also struggling around us.
We are just not good enough.
Gino's relegation business plan in full flow.
    Championship awaits....

Sounds like our forward play is letting us down. Several good chances missed.

Did our lads think it was Covid delayed? They never turned up!
Watched from about 30 mins onwards and we were second best in every way. Newcastle are so poor but that’s the second time this season we’ve made them look like a comfortably top half side.

That draw JP salvaged has just about kept our heads above water. We need to be better than this for the rest of the season though!

Brilliant goal by Pedro to rescue Claudio’s job

4 points from the next 2 and he survives the week, anything less I think Gino will pull the trigger

    Erm, you were saying?!

Ngakia mistake effectively an assist for them, while Femenia with another top assist for us.

I can't believe how often I have to post on here that Ngakia isn't the answer, and how many major mistakes he has to make, before some finally accept it.

Femenia struggles with his fitness, but when available he is comfortably the better player.

Good point if we win at Burnley, means nothing if we lose there.

Well done Pedro, showed fight and had no right to win that header.

Kamara looks great, hopefully the end of Masina as a starter.

We were awful yet I still think we were the better team. Scary.

Didn’t actually think it was that bad compared to recent performances. King and Sissoko should’ve done a lot better with their chances. We definitely defended a lot better too.

Brilliant cross from Kiko and a great header from Pedro.

Overall it was pretty shyte and most teams would have beat both Watford and Newcastle today.

No you cant use my avatar. Excellent goal, I think we still need a CB and MC/AMC type player. Debutants did very well I thought but I hope Kamara isnt out with what looked like a hamstring in his right leg right at the end of the game. 1-1 was a fair result. Get Catchcart and Kucka replaced and I will have hope we can stay up.

Pleasantly surprised by Kayembe. Excellent ball to play King in - a quality our other midfielders are severely lacking. Looks like he lacks a bit of pace, but other than that, decent showing.

Well, as a wise man once said, games change games!

At 84 minutes, we are dead and buried - relegated, season over, Ranieri is sacked, club looks doomed. Two minutes later we are all back in the game, kicking ass again. Yes, a goal and suddenly things look completely different.

As I said on the SB - it wasn't that our performance prior to that was terrible, it was just nothing. It was a nothing performance. We went through the motions, we created a bit here and there, but conceded from our standard individual error (we have to consider these as a given every game) and therefore we looked finished.

Once we scored, there was an immediate upgrade in everybody's body language. We were rougher, we were harder in the tackle, we were bolder. There wasn't enough time for us to make it count enough to grab a winner, but if we can carry that forward (not that Norwich won't also have a confidence boost) we have a puncher's chance still.

Samir was an obvious improvement at the back, Kayembe looks decent so far, but Kamara - what a feeling it is to have a proper left back for the first time in ages! It really shows just what crap we've been cobbling by with for so long. If we can do the same in one or two other key positions, we might actually have a decent side.

Kucka and Cathcart remain utter crap.

We are the most gutless team in the English football pyramid, there can surely be no doubt about it. That incredibly late spurt of effort prompted by Cucho coming on 9 minutes from time and incredibly luckily allowing us to paper over the cracks shouldn't disguise the fact that we are still rancid as a team - clueless in defence, clueless in midfield, clueless in attack.

Why are we so consistently brainless in possession? Why do we only ever constantly attempt stupid half-bounce looped passes and silly side foot flicks around corners, every time, losing it with about 75% of those? At what point do we start playing with anything like guile, intelligence, or just the fundamentals of the bloody game?

That final goal shows how frustrating this game, and our performance, and we, are, because we could so easily have taken the game to them and gone for a win, but we created almost nothing, and what we did we spurned pathetically. Sissoko has incredible workrate, but his finishing is utter dogshyte - it's unforgivable. Another game and another scenario where a guaranteed goal is turned down by his absymal shooting. He's a 32-year-old international trophy winner and he can't score with a free hit from 8 yards. Do any other set of players do every basic aspect of the game so poorly? It's maddening.

JP flattered to deceive for the majority of the match, which is so annoying when he should be starting and exerting his talent and influence throughout - he's not still filling in at centre mid against Nottingham Forest - he needs to be impactful, not doing a good job to fill a gap. And then, at the last, he finally is impactful, but in a totally different way created by someone else. So obviously, fairplay, and thank fucck he did it, but still enormous room for improvement.

Kamara looked the pick of the new guys, and actually somewhat impressive, but no prizes for pointing out our midfield woes have not been solved and we still cannot hold the ball at all.

This point keeps us hanging on by our fingertips, but with very very little to suggest from earning it that we will be able to pull ourselves back up from the edge, as it stands.

    - Foster is much better than Bachman
    - Samir did ok, looks better than most of our other cb
    - Kamara was excellent as most expected and is rapid
    - Kayembe was impressive in the second half imo
    - Kucka apart from the opening 5 mins was shocking possibly even his worst performance to date
    - Catcart looked shaky whole match and was in part at fault for their goal, while Ngakia was the main culprit, who imo did pretty well in the first half
    - Kiko didn't look completely fit, lovely cross for the goal
    - Sissoko is terrible in the final third of the pitch, but he runs a lot
    - Dennis and King were pretty poor, King especially
    - Joao Pedro looked to be our most dangerous player throuout the whole match and deserved his goal
    - We should have attacked them from the start, we can't sit back and defend

One of our big downfalls has been failing to draw games. It may sound odd, but that's only our second draw of the season. If we were to draw games as often as Burnley or Newcastle we would be on 20 or so points by now. Not a win, but a step in the right direction.
