They are sold in Britain, I'm not keen on them, I've heard horror stories about them going wrong too. They don't have the Skyline sort of feeling either, as you say, a bit soulless. Whereas the R32 and R33 GTRs were just epic and raw.

They do use it, dyno tested and proven!

Though what I will give you, most of these figures are at the flywheel, the ones on the actual wheel will be 50hp or so lower.

However, the 650bhp is at the wheel from dyno reports before and after custom map management system!

With that much power that should take 3.5 seconds! Speaking of stats, what is the 0-62 time, do you know?

 

On the dyno it did it in near on 2 seconds before I stuffed the gearbox, on the road probably marginally slower.. more importantly though it goes from 60 to 130 in just over 2 seconds too...

Quarter mile at Santa Pod was a small fraction over 10 seconds, I'm aiming to beat that..

 

I have a rover 214. It's pretty sweet. Does 0-15 in about 2 seconds. 3 seatbelts in the back and a tape player.
