Just gives brentford and swansea a glimmer of hope - a win and we would have kept our foot firmly on their throat

That’s sport. Was a very dull game and Boro completely nullified our attack. Not enjoyable, but that’s the job the set out to do. We didn’t push through the lethargy. Boro created very little and a set piece caught us out. The drop off in performance over the last two games is a worry. Need Cleverly back to give more energy and bite to the midfield.

Draw was a fair result. We didn't deserve to win yet looked comfortable throughout. Sloppy all over the pitch. Sema and Pedro especially had poor games and continuously gave away possession. We've yet to get going since the international break, so far We've got away with it but that won't continue. And it's games like these the head coach needs a better plan b then making like for like subs.

Poor. We have a great defence but can’t rely on never conceding because we inevitably will at some stage.

3pm Friday to 12:30 Monday is a difficult turnaround, especially after an international break where some players were playing for their countries 2/3 days before Sheffield Wednesday, a bit more time together on the training pitch now. Disappointing performance, disappointing to let 2 points slip through our grasp, but at least we didn't lose, that could be an important point

2 points dropped or 1 point gained? Can be looked at either way.

On one hand it’s 2 points dropped. Boro did nothing all game, had one shot on target and never looked like hurting us. We were the victims of our own undoing by giving away stupid fouls.

On the other hand, it’s a point gained. We’re 10 points clear (currently), we controlled the game for the most part, but never looked like creating anything from our control. We were slow and looked tired.

Boro were there for the taking, but we didn’t capitalize. However thankfully we didn’t completely bottle it and lose. A point is better than none.

4 days until we play Reading. Get a win, and 4 points from these two games is decent. After that we have an 8 day break before we play Lut*n.

No need to panic. Still in our hands. Hopefully Preston, Birmingham and Huddersfield do us a favour as well.

Could turn out to be a decent point and I was a expecting a slow down of result for the last 7 games. Today proved it. Not been too impressive since the restart. It's a result I expected.

Two points dropped? Probably, but we didn't deserve to win. Another flat performance. Hopefully they'll be better against Reading. 3 wins should be enough. 6 games to get it. Winning the league is probably a bit of a stretch now though.

Same and if you zoom out, young talented Brazilian footballer in his first full season in England struggles against two experienced centre backs managed by Neil Warnock on a day where nobody in a yellow shirt played well, then it isn't so bad I suppose.

Need to pick up our performances again.

We were never going to win every game but there are ways to drop points. We slowed the game down so much after being ahead and made so many poor decisions. Sema trying to dribble it out of his own third and giving a free kick away being the most costly.

We looked far more disjointed going forwards without Success, Pedro had a 'mare. They didn't engage our centre backs at all, just marked our centre midfielders and forced us long. And then when we eventually brought him on, we played Success on the left and still smashed long balls up the middle!

Biggest positive is that we didn't lose and eked out one more point towards promotion.

Cisco out. He's lost the dressing room from that display and Friday's.

Make Deeney caretaker until the end of the season to see if he can inspire us to promotion.

Troy travelled with the squad to his first away game since Coventry. Seems like his leadership and motivational powers are just as shyt as they were before his injury. The guy is an albatross. The more involved he is with the squad the worse we play. This fat man is kryptonite to WFC.

    That was pretty much rubbish.

Much we still should have won comfortably.

A point gained could be crucial but it'll go into the less comfortable games for us to do this now.

Win the home games and we should do it.

    Negatives:
    Didn't play well
    2 points dropped

    Positives:
No pressure of long winning run
    Kick up the arse
    Another point on the board

Win our home games + the L***n game and we're up comfortably.

The result was fair, the performance was dreadful from both sides. Silly free kicks to give away, poor from Sema and Masina looked a ghost of his former self. Most of us predicted a draw before this game, and it is another point on the board and we move ten clear, but I agree the overall performance was not good enough. I do not know what has happened since we came back from the break - we seem to of lost our focus and desire to kill a side off. Watford cannot sit on 1-0 leads, and had Pedro put that chance away midway through the second half we would of won.

Boro' worked hard and had the better of it especially second half. They didn't deserve to lose and we did not deserve to win. Xisco has a bit of time now before Reading on Friday. We cannot win all our games, it's just not logical. We did not lose, that's still a positive overall. Work needs to be done especially psychologically with a few players to see where their heads are, because right now, this is not the Watford that blew away Brum. We look short of ideas and keep giving away silly fouls in places we never used to. Pedro looks shot, Sarr scored yes but didn't do a lot afterwards. Our defense was static for the goal, but it was obvious they were going to score - we let them have so many set pieces. Sweep this one under the rug, hope Swansea and Brentford drop more points today and who knows it could turn out to be one gained over two lost. Big improvement needed for Friday.

We were flat and seemingly uninspired.

I just didn't see the desire to win today, and I think this is what I feared would happen a few weeks ago when I was saying that we need to try and reach Norwich, rather than look over our shoulder and hang on.

By contrast, Swansea and Brentford will be looking at "must win" games until they catch us up.

Hopefully that will give us a kick up the arse, and we actually try and win on Friday night.

Tbh that's one of our worst problems, we give away 3 silly free kicks around our box in the last 5 minutes most games...

Given how crap we've been since the restart it is most certainly two points dropped. We look shot to pieces and and seem like we're only going to crawl towards the finish line.

Had we taken the 3 points I would have been confident we'd just about scrape together the probably 2 more wins and a draw which would carry us over given our remaining fixtures, but just taking a point here means that we'll likely somehow need to get at least 4 points from Reading, Norwich, Swansea and Brentford, and on this performance I wouldn't trust us to get anything.

Can blame that performance on many things but claiming that our players were thinking about looking over their shoulders when we're the closest we've been to Norwich for months is frankly bonkers!

Troost-Ekong, Masina, Sema and Chalobah all reverting to the crap we've seen too often from them this season. Hopefully it's a kick up the arse but I think after seeing that Brentford will go on a run and we'll bottle it.

Let’s see how Brentford and Swansea perform whatever their results before we decide if we’re the only team who will find it hard to get going after the break. The game against Reading is really important now; we need a win AND a performance.

What a truly dreadful game. Got fed up "listening" to the non-commentary audio feed from Hive Sh1te (shoutbox was more illuminating and informative) and went out for a walk in the nice sunshine with 15 mins to go. Not surprised that we didn't hang on. Hopefully this will be the kick up the backside the players need.

However, a point away to a Colin side is not a bad point particularly after being so sluggish and piss-poor. This will be seen as a good point if we snap out of it and put in a performance home to Reading and get 3 points.

Yep, as I pointed out in my post above, the Sky commentators said that he'd travelled to "guard against complacency", but really he's just a massive burden and needs to be kept away.

We were flat today, seem too happy with recent form thinking it'll just come good. Far too much backwards balls and not much penetration thru midfield.
I have to assume this is deliberate for a couple of games to ensure we prevent burnout, but if not we're not going to get autos playing like that.!
(playing like today and Friday just encourages the poorer teams to "have a go" ..)

We were looking tired and you have to question why we didn't rotate the squad more or at least bring on subs earlier.

It was obvious at half-time Sema needed to be subbed.

Shame we are playing again Friday, I think that the extra day would have benefitted us a lot.

To be fair I had this one down as a draw I felt it was always going to be a tough one as it was over the bank holiday weekend and after the international break. Additionally Middlesbrough is just a difficult place to go and Warnock has got them organised and well structured. With the way results have went for us and the position we are in I don't think that's a bad result for us. It was disappointing that we were a little lethargic but that was likely to happen with the Friday game and then a long trip away on the Monday if you add in that the players wouldn't have had any time on the training ground then its understandable.

Best part of a year and a half out. Not given huge opportunities in the past, some of which due to his poor attitude and work ethic admittedly. Sure he has been given chances but some on here have basically called it due as much due to performance over 60 odd minutes since return to injury.

Sorry my line of seeing if he can take what is likely to be his last chance extends to more than the barely 90 minutes he’s had.

I think that instead of looking at Norwich, I think players look over their shoulders, and see the gap and they drop a notch.

It is my opinion, I don't see why you think it is bonkers.

Good point about frame of mind. Looked like we were playing "try not to lose" football. If we need a point in the last game but swansea need 3, then swansea have the incentive to play positively. However I wouldn't swap our position for Brentford or Swansea whatsoever!

Our first draw today btw since the infamous 0-0 at Coventry, the match that proved to be the turning point of the season.

    That was 12 games ago.

No wonder many of us are a little unsure how we should be reacting to a stalemate. We’ve become so unused to them of late!

    Yes Zinc especially.!
I like him but he's got to get more balls to our player, most of his passes are cheeky flicks which is great around their box but not in the midfield so much. Munoz needs to tell him to stop some of the silly hopeful passes 35 yards out...
