I remember us being woeful and losing 3-0 at home to Orient, before they reverted to Leyton Orient in about 1981! Athletes and teams lose. It's not nice but it happens.
Or could be interpreted as wait for the opposition to commit players coming forward and then hit them on the counter attack. Trouble is Boro didn't do this, were very cautious, very wary of us, and played like an away team trying to stop us playing. The trouble with trying to hold on to a lead is that you end up sitting deeper and deeper which just invites more and more pressure onto your back line. Then, if you do concede, and need to press and chase the game, it's almost impossible to do so. The more likely outcome is that you would concede again and lose the game.
Well, well, well. Is that the sound of Bees buzzing getting fainter or Hornets humming getting louder.
Tonight Norwich had the best first half I've seen for some time, they were brilliant. But it was down to the incessant intent to get forward quickly, even when miles ahead. It isn't that they are so much better than anyone else, as they haven't scored more than four goals under Farke since he arrived. Tonight, it just clicked. We need more of that, we have the players to do it. Less of this sitting back please Munoz, let's try and keep the pressure on the rest.
