Are you sure we need to pay them that much to take him? Should we start bidding at £0 and hope they don't knock us down???
The funniest thing is that if he continues to impress at SW then I doubt it will be them we eventually sell to.
The pozzos will probably sell fifty percent of him to Ossasuna, who will immediately loan him to Trazponsoor, who will offer first refusal on a young Senegalese winger to Napoli, who will relinquish their 25% stake in a Peruvian goalkeeper who he Pozzos part own and who is on loan at Shakta Donetsk.
Only one? Probably not. In the minority? I think so. I must admit, I'm a bit unsure as to why anyone would want a player virtually confirmed as disruptive to be around the squad. Forestieri practically confirmed it verbatim the other day.
He showed he didn't want to play for us, by strolling around the pitch the only thing he was good at was free kicks, we have a few who can take a decent free kick and are prepared to put a shift in, so it's a no from me!
Abdi, Munari, Tozser, Guedioura and Watson are all better options in terms of how much they benefit the team, in my opinion. His alleged attitude makes him an even worse option. If we're bringing a midfielder currently on loan back, I'd much prefer it to be Battocchio. Can't see it being either of them, though.
With our current midfield options, he's further away from a starting position than ever and it was his lack of game time that made him disruptive in the first place. So we have to sell him or failing that loan him out again.
I would not keep McGugan, but that doesn't mean he is not a good player, he scored double figures from midfield last season for Christ's sake. We could get a good transfer fee for Lewis if we play it right and that's what I expect the Pozzos to do.
Becoming a key part of their team by the sound of things and I assume can't play last game against us. Could be very important and who would have thought he could be the key player in us going up.......love a bit irony!
This. On the open day v Bolton he had his best game for us, it appeared that Beppe had got it into his head that he didn't have to always shoot when wothin 25 yards of goal. I wonder whether Dyer had got it in to his mind that he should be playing every week? Last season I thought he was one of our better players in an otherwise disappointing season and expected him to kick on a bit, but something changed somewhere in August/September.
Haha I've posted a lot of controversial stuff in the politics section over the years, but I've never remotely had as many dislikes as when I suggested we should keep McGuguan!
Never know, getting the chance to play in the Premier League could encourage him to adapt his game a bit.
I had a dream last night that McGoo scored a last minute screamer against us in the last game of the season and then ran over to Joka and pulled his top up to reveal a t-shirt with the word Schadenfreude written on it. Joka then belted him one and as McGugan lay in a crumpled heap at Joka's feet shouted, in his best English, 'You're fired you canut'.
