Ginelli. Maker of Ice Creams and razor blades. Sometimes they got mixed together with comic and ultimately blood curdling effect.
Agreed he made a big change. Brought a load of energy into the game. But I even cringed when he went into challenges. But he would be a massive risk.
If Suarez cared enough he would buy them a new midfielder so he could come here. Might be able to get a cheap one, like Jamie Hand or Ross Jenkins.
I'm not sure if he is fundamentally injury prone or just had bad luck with 2 very serious injuries in quick succession. I'm sure the club would have evaluated this. Abdi is fundamentally injury prone but it seems the club are really managing this well by bringing him off after every 60mins . I think I read somewhere this is because they felt this was when he was most vulnerable to picking up an injury. As a signing he could cover Deeney or Ighalo but also play in the 3 . A much better option than Townsend or Balde. So basically covers 2 signings in one .
What did you think of Balde, Carpster? I not saw the last 30 mins and so only saw him in defensive mode.
Fiorentina have made a bid for Genoa centre midfielder Tino Costa this evening. Could be a sign that Suarez is off?
Not seen a great deal of him either. But from what I have he seems to have something about him. He is only 20. I wouldn't take the last 30 minutes into account, most of the Lazio team were time wasting, going down far to easily. It was good to see that he didn't shirk his defensive duties. Did take his goal very well.
Caught a conversation on Twitter between Liverpool fans about Mario Suarez and one of them reckons he was told that Suarez was at Watford Junction yesterday. Sounds like the kind of *******s I'd come up with!
later seen at McDonalds in Bournemouth - got into chauffeur driven limo with a big Mac & fries & shake ("possibly strawberry").
We never had any intent on getting him ,we are just s****ing Muff into a 15 million quid offer , the scousers thought it would be a laugh and have come along for the ride !
Not sure what all the fuss about this guy is he is hardly getting a game at his present club and he did not even get on when their main man got injured. On the face of it I will not be bothered if this all falls through; however QSF seems to like him so what do I know
There are many reasons why a good player can have a hard time at a club. Living in a new country and having to get to know a whole new team. Or he may not have built up a good relationship with the coach, which would make forcing his way into the established team tricky. They might play a formation that doesn't suit him. I could go on. You have to look at his career as a whole, and once you do that you'll see that this guy is a very good signing. He was an important squad player in a team that won La Liga playing a similar style to us. That he knows QSF and Jurado is a bonus.
FFS, what's that, two players now that's happened with? Should only try signing guys who have had the snip IMO
