He had 20 minues against Sunderland and lost possession quite a bit...and I'm a fan of his. If I were really critical I would say if he's as good as you say he is, then Palace would have kept him...no?
I'd be grateful if you would supply a complete list of approved nicknames/abbreviations for the Watford squad and staff and Forum posters so I can be sure of being correct.
My recollection of last season is that Guedioura took a while to become accustomed to Championship football after a lengthy break not having played for Crystal Palace for some time. I think he made something like 4 or 5 substitute appearances before the Cardiff game where he scored two goals. He needs a proper run in the team as you cannot expect him to fit into the side on 10 - 20 minute cameo appearances from the bench. I hope he plays a full 90 on Saturday and we might have a better idea of his value to the squad after that. My initial feelings about Ighalo after his first few games was that I doubted he would ever do better than score 5 goals a season but changed my mind after he had more game time. I think it is wrong to overreact to a few substitute appearances and Guedioura needs a decent run before we see the best from him. As for Suarez, he will also need to wait his turn and prove he is a better option than anyone else already in the side or squad.
I don't think people are overreacting. I think it says something when Guedioura is clearly trying very hard in training and impressing Quique yet Behrami comes back from injury and immediately gets more game time than him.
I don't know where to begin with that simple logic, because it doesn't apply in the real world. But I'll humor you - no they wouldn't have, because I don't rate him as highly as you seem to think. He's not a star player, he's not world class, he's not undroppable. But in my opinion, he's a good player who has been deserving of a chance to prove himself.
For what it's worth, my friend works at Liverpool in a position where he generally does hear rumours about new signings / targets etc. He's told me as far as he knows they're not in for Suarez at all. That's not to say they're definitely not after him but usually he would have known if they were. I've got a feeling this one is going to happen due to the Flores connection. Bit of a coup for us if it does go through.
Well I won't focus on the '10 minutes max' which is demonstrably untrue, so if we drill deeper and look at the validity of your claims...how many more fallacies will we find? Anywy, I'll move on. I am certain Gueds will get his chance and I hope he does, however it's a matter of trust for QSF, and whilst he likes Gueds he doesn't fully trust him. QSF said his problem is ball retention which we have seen, if he can discipline himself then he will get more game time.
I think Behrami and Guedioura are two different players. I was hoping that we would close the game down on Saturday by bringing on Behrami/Anya for Jurado or Abdi. Neither Jurado or Abdi did anything wrong but unfortunately Guerdioura got the call and it just didn't happen for him. However to write Guedioura off because of a few substitute performances against a top two side is harsh to say the least.
My Fiorentina friend says that Suarez has been poo this season and has been their worst flop in years, after Mario Gomez. I'm sure hell do well here if he comes, though.
Signed for Liverpool, on BBC site http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/land/Suarez/January/9377256.stm
You seem to be confused. That article is referring to Luis Suarez. I can see where the mistake happened, though. They have the same last name. Easily done.
Not sure if we'll get this guy now. Seems to be a few clubs interested now and Gino doesn't like a bidding war. Plus it sounds like Behrami is staying.
No point in taking this guy and retaining Behrami - we don't need 4 DMs. As soon as our interest in a player becomes public, the chance of us actually signing him drops alarmingly. We should be doing all we can to strengthen the squad while we are in such a strong position, even if we feel we don't need to. It's 10 times easier convincing someone to come here when we are a top half side than when we desperately need to make signings to avoid relegation.
