I did quite like him, he tried his best in unfamiliar roles, but he should never have joined in the first place
Very very very smart by the owners. Bring in an obsolete player and then pay him off. Almost as smart as the Janmaat extension/payoff.
He was a gamble that didn't pay off, Manga has come in, deemed him not right for the squad and shifted him off early from his contract. It's a good move.
It’s a correction of an obviously poor transfer in the first place. Wrong player. Too long a contract. Do you think they didn’t have to pay him off a chunk of his final year? How you can conclude that this episode counts as “smart moves” by the ownership is bizarre.
I'd argue getting rid of a player that failed at the club is a smart move not the whole transfer as a whole.
All the best to a very competent midfield signing, who actually played for us last season more times than the pessimists might have feared because of his age and with other midfielders getting injured seemingly every week. A few vital assists along the way, and a guy who seemed to have exactly the professional attitude his impressive CV suggested he would. All the best for where you end up next season. Hang on...what do you mean we signed him as a right/wing back? Ahem.
The Watford of a couple years back would have allowed Gaspar to fester away in the background, occasionally appearing for the u23s. Yes it's the correction of an error, but still a step in the right direction.
He seemed to enjoy playing football for us, a quality he could not possibly enjoy at the time he had a chance at the time and was not able get to play for the club that day. Sorry, left my finger on the middle button, like.. he said it to himself but he was not in a hurry and he didn’t want me in a rush and he didn’t even want to do anything with me and he just kept going back to the beginning and I just didn’t know how he would feel when I left it and he just didn’t like me anymore so he went to work on the phone with him again so he was just trying not really understanding how he felt about me being in a rush to the office so he didn’t have any time for him and he just kept trying and he just kind a messed it out so he didn’t know how I could help him and I just didn’t want him and he didn’t know that he just didn’t know how he could just let him go to the doctor said I just didn’t understand why I didn’t want him or something like this was a little upset that he was like oh well I’m not gonna tell you what to say….
I thought he was decent. Not a wing back but that's not his fault. Certainly gave his all but another player that disappeared completely under Wilder
