Didn't Paredes do the very same thing (or something very similar) against Bolton on the first day of the season?
yes he has and he can also play football, no headless chicken. Paredes is a player that either plays great or really ****e, more times really ****e IMO
Paredes has gone downhill this season and feel he has LOST HIS WAY. The most frustrating thing is there is a good player waiting to come out. In the meantime we have Marco's second coming in a younger form through Motta and he has brought that much needed defensive balance to our play
Seems like Cassetti didn't teach him all his tricks on crossing. Scratch that, the basics of crossing. Taught him pretty mch everything else though except on how to give away penalties.
With regard to his crossing, his technique is really good, and his string of poor crosses were late on; his legs had gone a bit imo, think we'll see his quality in that department the coming games.
Think his all round play is excellent and is much more aware than Parades defensively and offensively. Will put his crossing down to an off day.
He posted a picture on instagram this evening and the last part of the caption was "see you next season" Looks like he will be signing a new deal
Good news! Not everyone will agree I'm sure but I like Motta a lot. I think we'll see the best of him in the Prem
What does this mean for Juanfran? I can't keep up with all this right wingback stuff? Parades to Granada?
Needs to practice his crossing to be honest. The amount of crosses he has attempted which have either hit the first man or gone off for a goal kick is rather frustrating. Agree with his reading of the game and defensive abilities which proved to be important for us. Hopefully he gets some training to improve his end product because undoubtedly there's a good player there.
Seeing as we re being linked with Richards and the Croatian RB Id imagine Motta, Parades etc are squad back up, but yes Mottas delivery was truly woeful against Wednesday
Never said was flawless nor that he was great at crossing: those are valid points which he/coaching staff need to address but still. Thinking about it every WB we've had barring Cassetti struggle to cross a ball. Pudil less so? Maybe? Don't know? Of/c being understudy to Cassetti he seemingly learnt also how to concede a penalty, see Derby away.
Actually really agree with you about service into the box. Anya seems to get into good positions but struggles with delivery and the others struggle with getting into those positions so their crossing seems to be that much harder. When you compare the Championship quality with Premier League quality, I think we fall some way behind. For me this season the best delivery has consistently come from Abdi or Gueds. Wing back delivery has been lacking.
Being Released. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/12959326.Trio_will_leave_Watford_but_contract_talks_ongoing_with_Gomes__Doyley_and_Gilmartin/
I stopped liking him the moment I saw the grin on his face when he got sent off at Derby. It wasn't funny mate, even if you think it is.
His grin? You do understand how adrenaline works and how different people react under pressure, right? I can't imagine he thought it was funny in the slightest.
Also agree with this... Seems like a solid enough player but was signed on a short contract for a reason.
He was laughing because he was embarrassed. It was a stupid challenge, he gave away a penalty and was sent off for Watford in a crucial game. I wasn't impressed with his reaction and neither were the people around me.
He was probably laughing because he didn't agree with the ref's decision. We're promoted, he did a decent job for us, it's a bit petty to hold a grudge against him because he laughed.
yep, and he was possibly right, but if you make a last-ditch "professional foul" there's always the chance of the ref pulling out a red even if there's other defenders about. We did well to salvage a point.
Cassetti did it as well, laughing at the ref is just what they do in Italy. It doesn't mean he wasn't gutted to be sent off.
