Hurtado having a knee operation apparently. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway...tford-loan-player-s-injury-status-isn-302242/
0 goals and 0 assists in his last 9 starts now for Forde (but 3 yellow cards). Subbed at half-time today. He's completely fizzled out now for this season.
But even amongst that lot it seems he's not been impressing of late. Looking at the ratings thread for the game today on their forum those who have spoken seem to have him down as basically their worst player today, e.g.: "Forde 3. Terrible. RW went nuts at one bottled challenge. Waved his arms about all half, thinks he is better than he is. " "Wherever Forde went on holiday mentally, I hope he sent everyone a postcard. He might be knackered but that was as risible a first half display as I can remember in a good while, absolutely checked out." "Forde looks like he can’t be bothered anymore" "Forde was very poor" https://lofcforum.com/forum1/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=13783
Doing well for them, but like Forde (playing for Bristol Rovers) not up to the championship standard!
Seems a bit harsh - he's only just turned 19 and has put in a series of impressive performances in the National League. If he continues his current rate of improvement I could see him bothering the first team in 12-18 months.
I was convinced Shaq Forde would have been the youth player last year to step up, instead of Kwadwo Baah so not writing Poku making the step up either. Player growth is rarely linear.
A plethora of loans announced recently means the club are once again reaching peak numbers of players on temporary moves away, not seen since the club had South Americans dubiously contracted via Granada and Udinese. Good luck to the under 21s putting out a strong starting XI for the next month or two! - And yes, I know they beat Swansea away yesterday but they too have reduced numbers with a 15 and 16 year old starting in our 3-1 win. #Whatevs. full list*, via the official site, as of 10/12/24 is; until 15/12/24 Jonathan MACAULAY @ Oxford City until 28/12/24 Alistair GOULD @ Kings Langley until 1/1/25 Aidan COYNE @ Maidenhead United until 2/1/25 Bentley ASSIEDOU @ Kings Langley until 5/1/25 George ABBOTT @ Hendon Freddie BUERS @ Potters Bar Town (currently playing home games at Kings Langley) until 6/1/25 James CLARRIDGE @ St. Albans City until 11/1/25 Roraigh BROWNE @ AFC Dunstable until 18/1/25 Jake WATKISS @ Farnborough until 26/4/25 Josh MULLINS @ Bedford Town until 30/6/25 Michael ADU-POKU @ Solihull Moors Joao FERREIRA @ SC Braga Jack GRIEVES @ Ross County Jorge HURTADO @ PAOK Mileta RAJOVIC @ Brondby IF Myles ROBERTS @ Partick Thistle *this doesn't include any scholars/academy players who have been loaned out on work experience contracts as they rarely get mentioned.
I'd completely forgotten he existed, hasn't played for their main team yet, but has 6 goals in 9 games for PAOK B in the 2nd tier.
News on two players moving today once on our books, the first probably more remembered than the second Joe Hungbo signed for Wigan and glen Whelan signs for Carlisle https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ckg37dx90xro https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2nz564jelo
