Never really rated Jeremy tbf but that was one hell of a performance from him today. His stats are insanely good. Long may it continue.
Always struck me as a confidence player that has had a very stop-start time with his form and fitness so far at the club. Hopefully a full injury-free pre season, and an opening day performance like that fills him with confidence to crack on, enough at least to give us 2 decent options at RB/RWB.
Sounds like he got an knock then played on for a bit before going on. No doubt making the injury worse.
Impact from a heavy challenge early on. I would say nothing to be worried about, but it is our medical team.
Crap with a capital C. He's worse than crap at times. Ubercrap. The sort of player you'll find in the L2/National League in a couple of years. Absolutely no improvement in play in two years tells you all you need to know. A real bargain like Quina.
Good news is he starts 3 in a row now. We spent £2m on a right back at Xmas but then randomly loaned him to Udinese. May have been useful now, but of course our dim wet lettuce fans rationalised it at the time.
Lots of positive talk about him but how long will it last ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...e-benefits-work-already-done/#comments-anchor
Credit where it's due, he's been much better recently. If he could improve his defending and crossing further, he could be a real asset.
He didn't have much to improve in my opinion. Just not good enough and I don't think there's any real upside with him.
He’s broken again. Needed ankle surgery over the international break due to a stress fracture. 2 month lay off predicted.
I know modern footballers are wimps generally and will miss a game for any reason, but Ngakia is quite extreme with it. Has he ever had a run of 20 starts on the bounce?
Well they might be put off by his injury record ! https://twitter.com/WD18Fans/status/1751211412519571796
Seems like a nice bloke but I couldn't be any less bothered about a player leaving than Jeremy. Only 53 starts in three and a half seasons just isn't good enough.
I presume it won’t be now though surely as one day he might be fit for a bit so needed as cover for Andrews.
Being charitable to the club, you could say the club were expecting Kiko to leave when we got relegated the first time (it's no coincidence that he played his best football when Kiko was forced onto the other side), but more likely, I think we just signed him because he was available on a free. On top of that, horrifically unlucky to get injuries as soon as Kiko left and a space was available in the team, it all adds up to a player that just hasn't kicked on
Has a Jeremy ever existed that wasn't a massive helmet? Clarkson Beadle Bates Goss Hunt etc Why are we signing these wrong uns?
I’m quite fond of Jeremy Piven. Made me want to quit my job and open a high end department store about 10 years back,
@Relegation Certs is spot on. Add Corbyn, Thorpe and Paxman to that list. I always found Irons a bit annoying as an actor too.
