Well lol using the criteria which some have used to trash our other signings...technically he played fewer matches last season than Livermore and Healey did, spent more time out injured than Ince and Livermore, and most Newcastle fans seem delighted to see him leave But I do jest. I’m really pleased with this signing. Exactly what we need, and not costing much either. Should have something to prove too to resurrect his career, rather than just using us for his next pay cheque. As I posted yesterday, five summer signings now and all have played in the Championship (plus the Head Coach and his assistant). I don’t think we should disregard this. We will look a lot more Championship savvy this season.
Good points and well put. We will definitely be more Championship savvy as long as the squad buy into what VI is instilling into them. I suppose the first few games will be a decent indicator on whether they are. The Scum and Millwall showed last season what structure and togetherness can bring in this league.
I've had a look and this is the first signing Watford have announced on a Thursday since 1897, the infamous 'Bertie Straw' who turned out to be a horse. We had been duped.
Wasnt he pictured in one of our training tops a week or two ago? Presumably he's been training with us, so not sure what the hold up is in announcing him? The transfer ban fiasco maybe?
