Watford are considering a £30m bid for Ismaila Sarr according to reports. The bid is believed to be from the Russian Ministry of War who are looking to freshen up their ranks. It’s believed they see Sarr’s ruthless character as the ideal fit to head up the Russian nuclear forces. Sarr is understand to be keen on the move as he sees it as a natural progression for his career. Talks continue.
I think the closest we came to losing Sarr was Villa. It looks like since that fell through we are keeping him as it stands.
So not a single rumour about any clubs after Sarr? Maybe after he scores a hat trick against England someone will come in for him.

I think he was number 27 of their acquisitions! Therefore roughly in the middle of their transfers. Easier to name every monarch of the British Isles than their buys.

He has to go to finance new signings that we're desperate for. Hause and Kamara leave to free up loan spots. Then beg Arsenal to loan us Smith-Rowe as cover for JP. Yes he would get in the majority of premier league clubs but there's no harm in begging.
ESR got 3 England caps a year ago - no chance whatsoever he would drop to the Championship, even if Arsenal would be open to him leaving.
We don’t have another LB so no way do we send Kamara to Udinese (even if he is a total plank). I understand the ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’ idea - but there’s no way Smith-Rowe would come and there’s no way Arteta would want him playing in the Championship. No point begging for something that isn’t happening. And I’m not sure we do need to sell Sarr to finance deals - we have taken a lot of loans out and we won’t be splashing the cash anyway even if we had it to spend.

If we sell him, and use the proceeds on new buys, how will we ever pay off the loans ? His, and Pedro's, values are the only way to pay off the loans without prem monies or significant new investment.
I agree. If Sarr is not going to sign a new deal then he has to go in this window. For me, if we could resurrect the Villa deal, terminate the Hause loan with them and get Archer, that would be the dream ticket. Good point on Kamara. We could send him back to Udinese and sign someone like Ryan Manning to replace him with.
In all honesty we don't have one now. The guy has turned out to be a clown plus he needs replacing in the Summer, so why not now even it's a loan with a view to purchase? Valid points made by you and @lowerrous. @GoingDown you should realise I sit behind you st the Emirates. It's just frustrating that a player of that quality has only played around 50 minutes of football all season.
