But with Deeney going why can't Success play alongside Ighalo? Do they have some dislike for each other which would stop them playing together?

I'm not sure I want Success to join purely for the bombardment of puns that will head our way in media/twitter etc. whenever he scores/assists/steps on the pitch. I have no idea or opinion on his footballing ability.

Why all this talk of Deeney, Iggy and Success for 2 striking places when (correct me if I'm wrong) Success isn't a striker !!!!

A five year deal you've got the world at your feet, Success has been so easy for you..

He plays as a striker or a winger. Mazzarri doesn't play with proper attacking wingers, hence he will be a striker for us.

Apparently Duxbury met him in a cocktail bar to finalise the deal.

    I believe he mainly preferred a 3 4 2 1 formation at Napoli.

    So...

    Success............Pereyra
    ...........Deeney............

With Berghuis, Ighalo, Sinclair etc challenging from the bench.

Even if we do get Success and Pereyra.. Lose either Troy or Iggy then surely a top out and out Striker has to come in !!

Success 5 goals from 40 matches
Pereyra 12 goals from 170 matches.
Sinclar 0 goals from 3 matches
Oulare 4 goals from 28 matches
Berghuis 23 goals from 120 matches
Ighalo 86 goals from 260 matches
Deeney 125 goals from 380 matches

Agreed. Those Deeney and ighalo scoring rates are awful. We need to replace urgently.

EDIT - oh ****. Thought this was the Deeney thread !

Would you be happy losing Iggy or Deeney and carrying on with their rest then? ... Stats can't tell the future but I'd be happy enough to say we need a tried and tested goal scorer to replace one of them if they leave... I wouldn't be happy hoping that 2 or 3 of them will chip in with a collective 30 goals which we may need to stay up !

  23. Why yes, I would be comfortable losing one of them, I actually think we will lose one of them, Iggy probably

And yes having watched Success and Penaranda on TV at Granada and (in the case of P) some of the Copa America I do believe they are both comfortably Prem quality strikers with great (top class footie) futures ahead of them

I agree, but the question of over who Penaranda will play for next season remains

He still might go back to Granada next season. The Pozzos still have 49% of the club so players will still be able to move around.

But don't forget it's Iggy who put you where you are now
And he can scoop you back down too.

    Don't. Don't you want me?
You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't play me

    SUCCESS INCOMING

Watford are close to completing the signing of Granada striker Isaac Success in the coming days.

Reports in Spain state that Success has agreed a five-year-deal with the Premier League side, helped by the partnership the two clubs have.

Granada have been taken over this month with Watford owner Gino Pozzo relinquishing control to Link International Sports, but the deal was said to be in the pipeline before the takeover went through.

The Nigerian was linked with Atletico Madrid and West Ham, but has opted for a move to north London instead.

I was under the impression Penaranda WONT be coming next season due to the Work Permit issues! And would need to stay at Granada for another season to hit enough points to gain one.
