Oldham has it worst, I mean it must have been freezing there for at least two years,as on TV last night the Oldham Athletic groundsman said they had a layer of PERMAFROST under the snow!

Whoever said that northeners are dumb?

 

I like the idea of the groundsman making a joke, that the nation doesn't get, on the BBC.

With regard to snow fall.

Same here, I'm in for an interesting journey to work.

 

Reckon on 2 inches overnight here and it was thawing yesterday:dismay:.

Seems to be a wetter snow if that's possible, more slushy but still snowing.

 

Glad I was up early today! Just made it out of the area before the ensuing gridlock happened. As per usual, no grit down as far as I could tell. Can't wait to drive home later :dismay:

 

and school is.

An hour and a half to get from Leighton to MK..mainly down to women drivers who simply cannot drive in snow delaying everyone.

 

3 Hours after having to walk from Oxhey to Northwood Hills to get a train :dismay:

 

Have a joyess 42 mile trip from Brimsdown (enfield ) back to leighton later

Perhaps a vbook on how long it will take, how many times i have to stop and pee and how often i tell talk sport to fook off ?

Expect to be home about half past Thursday

I've heard it aint great there - end of the bypass and town centre quite bad ?

 

not bad now mate by all accounts , heath and reach was closed for rush hour , crash outside my bosses house , and there was an incident on the new bypass as well , but been out and about earlier and seems much better , think as this time the actual snow was falling during rush hour rather than when everyones in bed , it caught a lot of crap drivers out..

 

Couldnt get in to school today but it was open for those that could and those with exams.

Those that are from Lut*n took 3 hours to get to school, got dropped in town centre if they had exams and had to walk the rest of the way.

Where as I? Watched some old Gavin+Stacey and had a nap. It's a wonderful life.

 

Roads were really bad at 5:40 this morning when i started my journey to work..
Got told i could go home early aswell, so left at 1 instead of 2:30. Result

I did though that's the thing. I was gunna walk, but school said it wasnt worth the risk.

 

About 3" down here overnight / early this morning on the Kent / Surrey border.

Hopefully that is the end and with warmer air forecast the big thaw can begin.

 

Had to taxi it in to work today, as the car wouldn't start!! Only a few inches down in Southampton last night.
