no - if you put it down the night before it just causes slush. Thats worse when it freezes than snow.

use it on paths that have been cleared only. Cat litter does work.

Leighton has a couple of inches. A kerb is only about 3". If you can seewhere the path stops and the road begins then you have less than 3" a good measurement.

Going to be like this all day, no chance of the sheff Utd game going ahead

On a train from Plymouth to Paddington via Bristol! No let up in the snow anywhere on the line. Looks beautiful outside but making slow but steady progress on the train!

Does look like the country is at a standstil though, so many residential roads ungritted and with no tracks on them.

School closed again tomorrow. At least we know now and don't have to get up early to check.

I know that if its cold outside, water freezes. Does that help? :xmaswink:

Rate of reaction experiments. And factors that affect it. My experiment was seeing if the temperature affected it

As in Chemistry and elements reacting together? Not sure I'll be able to help.

Ahh, a fine memory of failing science.

That coursework takes f**king ages, once you're behind you gotta work your ar$e off to get in completed.

Especially as I always left my coursework to the last moment.

    Ha, same here!

That science coursework did my head in when I did it last year.

Anyway, as for the snow, Harpenden probably has about a foot of lying snow this evening, more is forecast Sunday into Monday, so maybe more disruption on the way.

It came down quite a bit yesterday morning in Abbots, the roads were pretty awful and the paths not much better. Struggled to get into work, then in the end we closed early and I had to walk home because there were no buses!

Got work today also, got a lift going in but not too sure about coming back..does anybody know is the buses are running? I've tried to get onto the Arriva website but it won't load and I've been in a queue on the phone to traveline for about 10 minutes.

Stupid really. When I was at school (4 years ago) we wouldn't have this long off. I can only ever remember 1 day off because of snow.

The situation in the shops is ridiculous. They had sold out of milk before noon round here and I haven't got any for breakfast :sad1:

I feel sorry for you and your generation... Someone in your year may have to run the country in the future

    Damn right son.

You sicken me Afanof. You don't need milk for a fry up.
