Good player in the promotion season but didn't really cut it at this level despite as people have said being very willing (sometimes lacking in our squad) Probably score or play a blinder against us though!
Wouldn't be where we are today without him or Iggy. Yes they've both been pretty bad this year but they are both key players in our history who truly connected with the fans and loved the club. Needed to move both on but I really hate the vitriol being spouted on social media and in parts here.
Gutted to see him leave, never hid while the team were struggling, unlike the majority of our players at the moment, always wanted the ball, but out of his depth in the premier league, hope he gets a good reception if/when he comes back to the vic, he is a player I so wanted to be a success in the premier league for us. Good luck, good business all around
Chatted with him at train station after wolves away in promotion season . Bloody nice bloke . Glad he s going to get some game time and prob a decent pay packet .
No, people are just pointing out (rightly) that he's bloody terrible and to get £3m for him - even at today's prices - is bordering on theft. He always gave 100 per cent though
Less so here and more on social media, even at the game yesterday. ****ing horrendous this season but loved the club, which is more than we can say for most in Yellow these days.
Good deal for us. Although 3 million is pretty low risk by anyone's standards, and he will be decent next season with Hull in the Championship. All the best Gueds.
Was a key player in the second half of our promotion season and always gives everything on the pitch. It wasn't all that long ago I was refreshing WD sport every day hoping for news that we would sign him permanently. Hope he does well for Hull and gets shown the sort of love he's shown for our club.
Wow, £3million, got us promoted, has been a decent squad player, and now we get £3million for him. Great work all round and I wish the guy well.
Never really got the hype about him. A lovely bloke for sure, but he's someone I don't think we should have signed once we were promoted and thought it was a bit of a strange one at the time. A great player from our Championship team though, and his goal at Arsenal will live long in the memory.......but it's long been time for him to move on, just like Paredes. The only thing is, how wise is it to sell to a relegation rival? That one might come back to bite us. Good luck to him though and I hope he does well, apart from when we play Hull of course.
Good luck Adlene. Not quite at the level we needed for this league, but always gave 100% and that goal against Arsenal in the cup will forever live in my memory. All the best at the tigers.
£3m for a player with 20 or 30 premiership games is nothing in todays market As everyone has said, you can't fault his effort but he has just fallen short in the premiership. He will go down as one of those who were just to good for the championship but not quite good enough for the premiership, Smith, Mooney, Nuggent, Bent, Malky etc A good buy for Hull and will do well for them next year
Good player but with the touch of a rapist. Unfortunately that poor first touch has cost us many scoring opportunities, however he is not alone on that score. £3 million's a fair price for all I think, he'll improve their squad but he won't keep them up.
Good luck to him, comes across as a smashing bloke who always puts a shift in and played a part in our promotion while on loan here. Sadly he hasn't shown himself to be premier league quality and our purchasing of him always to be based on sentiment rather than ability. Still, we'll always remember Arsenal :mengoal: when his name comes up.
Don't think he'll get many starts now the squad is getting back towards full fitness so probably best for all parties. I've enjoyed watching his spell at the club though.
Love this fella. great attitude. well worth buying for the squad when we went up and was a total professional when he was being unfairly overlooked last season. derby away in the promotion season when down to ten men will be his highlight for me. without him we would have been a bit short of a promotion side imo. gave us the spark we needed but at the top level it has unfortunately been proved that he gives the ball away too often to be a regular starter. with doucoure now grabing his chance its time for him to move on with our very best wishes. top fella.
I'll always think of him as the difference between being Champions and runners up. It is cheap to remember him for the Arsenal goal, because what he did for us in the promotion season was monumental. Is the **** gone yet? Gueds. Another reason to love ****s.
90% less hollywood balls on show at the vic from now on. On the other hand a 90% rise in accurate passing
Good luck Gueds, you will always be welcome back at The Vic, thanks for always giving your best :sign15:
christ what a choice, living in hull or middlesbrough. It's like saying would you rather be deaf or blind.
From the way he did his nut afterwards, I reckon Mazzarri swore that crappy free kick Gueds punted straight into touch would be his last ever kick for Watford.
