I mean clearly you're trying to wind me up now, but I'll bite...

Considering I mainly work with older people, directly helping to improve their quality and even length of life, as well as injury rehab clients, and charge £50 for the hour for it, please do enlighten me as to how in your mind there's not a "worse" profession?

Fox in the box or team of old crocks?

At least he might actually head us a goal. Who was the last Watford striker to manage that?

If it's from a corner I will probably faint.

It all depends on what's been offered to him on the table. If it was first-choice striker, they're effing clowns. I just can't see it being that though. As for Mapps, he eventually found his way into the starting line up, but as far as I remember, in his first season back he was used sparingly.

    Good signing.

Will score 10 goals this season.

Becomes a bad signing if Suarez isn't any good / leaves.

Becomes a bloody fantastic signing if Andre Gray captures his previous Championship form. If that happens we're loving life.

I don't think anyone is suggesting starting Murray every week, and tailoring our game to suit him. He's a cheap, experienced option off the bench, who can chip in with a few goals.

Holy cra*, I didn't think we'd go through with this but we have. That brings the average age of the squad from 43 to 53. Wonderful news, any more soon to be retirees after a job?

This is fantastic business by the Pozzos and exactly the type of signing that will help us get promoted.
He is more than capable of scoring double figures in the championship and will offer some great experience to the younger members of the squad. Has been part of a promotion team before so knows what it takes to get there.
Age is only a number and footballers are playing for longer as time goes on. Would we be against signing Ronaldo at 40?
Promotion takes a fine balance of experience and youth. I think we have got an abundance of youth in the team at the moment that will make the step up so adding championship experience is key now.

Excellent signing . On a cold wet Feb evening when all our South American stars are too cold to run let alone score, Glen will come up with a scrappy tap in from 2 yds to win us 3 vital points.

Depends on whether you count Fessi as a striker (and of course if he comes back, you could say we have 5 then)

Depends, the management will have their ideas of what the first team will look like, but there'll be lots of chopping and changing throughout the season. Ivic could be looking at Murray as his main striker this season, but it won't matter if he goes a few games without scoring and someone else hits a hot streak, and vice versa

I'll post this once again, but we have a game pretty much every 4 days from October - January. We need a big squad.

He's one of those players who could be considered either a striker or a winger I guess. We seem to like those.

Some quotes from Brighton fans in their thread on him:

"Will still bag 15+ goals next season in the Championship."

"Best of luck Muzza a true Albion legend, one of a kind, brilliant CF and a class act"

    "A great pro"

"Good luck to him , still a class act and will definitely score goals for them , their free kicks won in dangerous positions will treble with him in the side"

"Despite having a brilliant football brain and plenty of nous he's just not fast enough for the Prem, but the extra time and space you get in the Championship could make this a shrewd acquisition"

I’d of been cheaper, I’m slow fat and 40 but offer just as much off the bench I bet.

    The issue isn't Glen Murray.

If we had made 4 significant signings by now, we'd see Murray as the icing on the cake. An experienced centre forward who would be a good presence in the dressing room, would lead by example on the training pitch and would pitch in with a couple of goals/ elbows against the classic ****houses in this league.

As it is, all we've signed is a 36 year old journeyman, and we're probably about to lose our best quality players.

My prediction. He'll be avaerage and pitch in with 5 goals. But he'll give our decent strikers some rest, score the winner against Luton and therefore become a club legend.

Listen Deeney, we don’t want you anymore. You’re a club legend and we will love you forever, but it’s time to move. We have to let you go, so just let us go. It will be painful in the beginning, but Bilic will have you feeling right at home in no time.

I’ve talked to Bilic, I won’t have a guaranteed 1st place in the canteen line up like I do at London Colney, Jose at spuds is offering European cuisine and says I can have all the bratwursts I like if we go to Germany.

I think he'll be a useful squad member. We've needed a player who has a goalscorers instinct for a few years now. Wonder what sort of fee or wage percentage was involved? As others have said, if he's here to replace Suarez it's a depressing move; if he's an addition, it could be very shrewd move.

It's frustrating as you'd have thought someone with the technical ability of Hughes would be capable.

Add in the loanees who've never played for us before, Suarez and Estupinan - in both cases if we had signed them this summer we would be waxing lyrical about this transfer window.

    You beat me to it.
Bournemouth were glad to get rid of him as he was a complete c**t.
The tax issues were problematic to their board. Allegedly, his wife was paid more from Bournemouth than him.
A very strange signing. I would be interested to know the reasons behind signing him.
