As a fellow supremely talented player I can confidently state this guy is fvking mustard and will be POTS. If I'm wrong I hereby swear I will request the moderators change my username to AchingSimpleton. BOOKMARK THIS POST.
Based on the clips before we signed him I'd said more Grealish or Joao Pedro. The commentators on Hive Live today also said they were getting Jack Grealish vibes.
Now I’ve seen how good Georgi is with my own eyes, I’m pretty sure he’s going to be a big player for us. Makes me think he could well be in as replacement for Asprilla. Can’t see how we can fit Louza, Asprilla and Chakvetadze in the same team. Nice luxury to have, but three high quality playmakers is not something I think we can really run with this season. £15m sitting with Asprilla could be very handy towards that final couple of purchases.
Ismael seems to like to invert his 8s and his wingers though - so the left-footers play as the right-sided 8 and the RW, and vice-versa. Chakvetadze is right-footed and came on as the left-sided 8 and then shifted to LW. He is therefore not in direct competition with Asprilla who is left-footed. Asprilla is in competition with Louza and Kayembe as the right-sided 8, and Sema and Ince as the RW.
I think we need to see him from the start against a couple of teams that aren't 4-0 down before reaching any solid conclusions. I can think of plenty of players who we've had in the past who look great when the vibes are good, pulling the strings and showboating, but who then go AWOL when it really matters.
Anyone with their socks rolled down gets compared to Grealish ! From what I have seen GC looks like a real player , early days I know !
Ismael post QPR on Chakvetadze: “From day one when he came on the training pitch, everyone was buzzing about his performance, the feeling we’ve got with him is that we have a special player".
My inside sources have told me fan groups have created a chant for this fellow. ABBA, gimme gimme gimme: Gimme gimme gimme a Winger from Georgia, His name is checkatrade and I can't say his name. He'll fu*kin murder ya
Good morning Tim, I trust you are well. Could you please distribute the song sheets to our Asian hornet network ASAP? I'm sure you still remember the Ighalo song misunderstanding debacle. Do you have any more information on the rumour that the rogue ITKJim is now working for the Luton Town forum? I note his ITK status has still not been revoked. Best regards Ming
I like him, looks an exciting player and gladly takes the opportunity to get forward. A little raw and lightweight but definitely something to work with.
Can anybody think of another player we’ve had who has such a top heavy scoring record per appearance for his country rather than in club football? Obviously usually it’s the other way round. However, his goals per game ratio for Georgia is quite insane compared to his almost total lack of goals for his clubs. I haven’t checked but I’m wondering if the likes of Roberts and Allen got more international than club goals when with us in the 80s?
Well, considering he's scored all of his goals for Georgia before tonight against the mighty Lithuania, various teams of the Nations League D and Mongolia, perhaps he should have more!
I'm warming to him. Still only 23 so quite young still but he doesn't seem to have a problem with the physicality of English football. Just needs to work on decision making so he can start to influence games more.
What a waste of space of a signing. Looks good on the eye at times but actually contributes little. No goals, no assists, just runs around occasionally looking flashy as if he’s playing on his own.
Agreed. He does help us retain posession at times but at some point you need him to make a game changing contribution
Can't hold down a starting place either. Good stats for Georgia but very much looks like the Championship is a level too far for him.
The Championship Jurado. I remember moaning about Jurado's lack of end product and someone came back with 'yeah but he passed the ball to someone who took a shot which was deflected out for a corner and we then scored the header from the corner'. A kind of pre-pre-pre-assist if you like.
Starting to find his feet in this league now going to be a massive help for the remainder of the season keep up the good work goirgi
Definitely put in a good shift. His long range effort was superb. Not sure if it was saved and tipped onto the bar or did he hit the bar having beaten the keeper?
