I didn't believe it either, esp when they deliberately didn't show his face during the compressions. Then they did so viewers accept he is now dead, but only Roman of the kids went to see the body. I'm convinced it is a trick to interfere with the Board Meeting decision. The question is just who is in on it, and who isn't. Who on the plane knows ? Does Roman know now...did he know all along.
Or is he actually dead ? The question will be whether the statement to the markets confirms his death or just that he was taken seriously ill on the plane. They can't announce he's dead to the markets and then magically, he isn't. However if they don't mention death then he could magically recover.
    Brilliant drama though.

Colin from Accounts, BBC iPlayer, is in many respects a predictable, will they, won’t they, romantic comedy. However, it’s endearing, rude and very well done. Both the leads are excellent and their comic timing is great. A pretty decent effort.

Indeed. Kendall Roy is truly one of the most remarkably well written characters ever. His change into his father in this episode was incredible. Jeremy Strong is a true great.

Nice documentary on iPlayer (BBC4) - Own the sky: the jet pack dreamers. Look out for the Mexican chap who tells the story of how he ended up in hospital after strapping a couple of rockets to his bicycle.

After 6 years the, frankly, epic Snowfall finished this week. Originally starting off telling the origins of crack cocaine and it's subsequent epidemic from LA to throughout the US. It's a multifaceted story that encompasses dealers, the police, the CIA and KGB. It's really hard to pick out a star performance - but "Michael" Hyatt (who's originally from Handsworth) playing the lead character's mother just about edges it with her performance as watching the drug erode her community, to embrace the riches its trade brings and trying to use them to mitigate the drug's damage.

I could describe the show as a a 'black' The Wire - but that would be disservice to both shows.

Succession. I’ve done my usual thing of flirting a bit with a series, really liking it but never quite finding the time to get through it and then diving into it after it’s finished and everyone is raving about it. Just finished the first series.

It. Is. *******. Brilliant. I love it so much. It reminds me of two of my favourite TV shows, Arrested Development and The Thick of it in so many ways. I’m giddy with excitement to watch the rest of it.

Not really a spoiler but the scene at the wedding where Roman is watching the satellite launch on his phone and it goes spectacularly wrong… That was my exact reaction when Deeney scored against us in the play offs. Calmly close the laptop, digest for a second, put on a brave face as if nothing had happened.

Elite telly. Probably my favourite series of all time at this stage. Haven’t watched the final season yet as I want to watch them all in one go, the previous season I binged in 24 hours then regretted it as I wished I still had it to watch.

Guilt, BBC iPlayer, reaches its climax with its third, brief series. It’s a cracking, tense crime yarn, with great characters and if it was from the US I’m sure everyone would be talking about it.

Oddly, it got very big, and appreciative, audiences when shown on the US PBS 'Masterpiece' slot - I was told by someone ITK that this is what led to BBC America's output being expanded ...

We've been enjoying Paris Police 1905, which is the follow-up series to Paris Police 1900. It's excellent, if you can cope with subtitles, a beautifully shot very convincing period piece. It has lots of complex characters and deals with some quite dark themes, which were issues of the time, and is brutal in places but has humour too. You could watch it without seeing the first series, but you would miss out a little on the back stories of the characters.

I’m late to the party on Succession but it really is that good. It’s a document of the times, a fascinating study of personal, family and corporate narcissism. Laugh out loud funny and tragic.

And a word about the theme music, which is brilliantly chosen. Both grand and off-kilter, it fits the show so well.

Mrs Moose was kind enough to watch Naked Attraction and to warn me off. ‘Nothing you’ll be interested in there’, she told me confidently and bless her, she seems to check the programme every now and then on catch up, presumably so I don’t have to.

Ugh. Teenage me would have been desperate to watch a terrestrial channel show several nudie women every episode, except have they ever shown anyone who wasn't absolutely repulsive? Absolutely the dregs of the dating community, yet the chooser is all 'mmm I like the shape of her labia' or 'his foreskin is my exact favourite tone.'
