Exactly what I said a few pages back but @Moose took me to task on it

And speaking of the Cosby show, I'm 2 eps in to "We Need to Talk About Cosby" - I'm averaging one "WTF?" about every 10 mins...

Just watched the Tinder Swindler doc on Netflix, not a particularly great documentary or anything, but…

I have a grudging respect for the guy, he’s basically living life like it’s a computer game. It blows my mind how someone could have the brass neck to do what he did, just imagine having the nerve to live life like that, and it equally blows my mind these woman would spend $250k on a guy they met a couple of times. As for the woman, it’s pretty clear they all got caught up in the fact they thought he was a billionaire, they all miraculously fell in love with him after meeting him just once, so I find it difficult to have too much sympathy for them

It's good fun. Wasn't expecting much but it's been good cheesy entertainment.

I actually like Johnny more than Daniel, surprisingly.

Same. Johnny is amazing. It's cheese but they just make the twists and turns work. And getting every actor who was in the movies 40 years ago, but is still alive involved. It's epic.

    Quite an achievement!

Daniel is way too holier-than-thou to me, and was doing things for the wrong reasons (i.e. ego). Johnny was flawed at the start (and a bit of a loser) but was at least trying to further himself (and actually succeeding, in fairness) and rectify past mistakes.

I quite like the reversal of fortunes aspect - the two basically swapped positions from the original movie, with Daniel having everything and Johnny nothing. It hasn't improved Daniel and it's given Johnny perspective, albeit it took him a while to get there.

Also, Amanda is ******* amazing and Daniel does not deserve her in the slightest. She's absolutely hilarious.

New series of The Sinner on Netflix, can't wait to watch Bill Pullman walking round with a face of someone who thinks they have just smelt a fart.

For fans of the Lee Child books, season 1 of Reacher is now on Prime. Started watching it last night with hope that anyone taller than Tom Cruise (for instance a man) would be a more suitable Jack Reacher and so far I’ve got to say I’m impressed.

Furthermore the season is based on the first novel Killing Floor and follows the book very closely.

I’m three episodes in but have high hopes for this series 8/10

The Puppet Master, a 3-part documentary on Netflix, is excellent. Highly recommended

Watched the first episode last night. Not bad. He's certainly more 'Reacher' than Cruise, although his physique is a bit steroids and dry fish with broccoli compared with the written Reacher's more functional size and strength.

The fight scenes were satisfying and in keeping with the books. Hope they keep up the rate of 2-3 brawls per episode.

Watched this the other day as well. If you liked this you might like the Tinder Swindler, also on Netflix, it’s one episode and also about a similar sort of bloke.

I was worried with it being on a fourth series but so far so good! Just starting episode three. I like the uncanniness of each series.

Don't want to thread hijack but the dinner table scene in episode 3 has to be one of the best bits of TV I've seen in a long time. You could just feel the awkwardness as if you were in that room, and you knew he was in for a good kicking from the other half afterwards. Loved how they did that, very clever.

It is isn't it. Extraordinary to see how intelligent people can be manipulated and controlled so completely.

It's astounding the things people are willing to believe when they get emotionally compromised and stop thinking rationally. Just look at the Pizzagate stuff or QAnon, for example.

Despite being sentient beings we can be quite stupid at times, and there's always someone ready to take advantage of that.

Chloe on BBC One and iPlayer occupies a bit of the same territory as those enjoyable, but superficial, Harlan Coben intrigues that crop up on Netflix.

However, this is much better and more subtle, if also slightly far-fetched. The first episode appears to lead us into standard youngster obsessed with the perfect lives of others on social media, but there is excellent misdirection afoot.

Now I love a far fetched thriller as much as the next person, but I am currently struggling through “Safe” and am finding it one of the most preposterous pieces of television I’ve watched. The script is appalling and the acting not much better. I am (hopefully) near the end as I’ve just watched episode 4 or 5 but I’m only persevering because I feel like I need to see it through now, like some test of stamina. Is his other stuff better than this? Have I just been unlucky in my choice?

Stay close on Netflix is simply appalling Imo. Just far too many holes in the storyline, poor script and terrible casting. My wife even said to me while watching the show, Jesus who would go and watch her pole dancing.

This is one of my main issues with “Safe”. The actor who plays the main part is terrible.

Was told he writes his books based arou d US cities, for one maybe they should be filmed and casted there. I don't believe it worked UK based.

Safe is preposterous, but I found it quite fun. Chloe, on the other hand, is good. I probably shouldn’t have linked them.

Mrs D was watching Chloe last night and I got drawn into it without wanting to. What a contrast to see some decent acting compared to some of the utter drivel we've seen recently.

This is Going to Hurt BBC One/iPlayer is a very enjoyable romp, with Ben Whishaw excelling in the lead role as an obstetrician in a busy London maternity ward.

Gory and hilarious by turns, with a baby delivered while wearing the World’s most inappropriate T-shirt. Good fun, unless you have a caesarean section planned, in which case it may be off putting.

I've given that Trigger Point a go, three episodes in and I'm not too sure what to make of it. Story seems good however the one out of Line of Duty seems lost in the role.

I also don't think Ben Shephard is that good and it relies too much on luck rather than getting questions right.

Had a look at that "This is going to Hurt" last night, but as soon as that doctor started talking to the camera as part of the plot I turned it off.
