18yo striker from Hibs. Scottish U19 international, yet to make his first team league debut so one for the academy I imagine.

 

Hopefully Porteous' input has been sought.

 

So far it’s 2-0 to AL with the Giaretta contract and now Laidlaw talks. No exclusives from AF as yet.

 

Goes nicely with the tune to Eton Rifles and that’s why I’m in.

Let’s hope he he turns out to be a catalyst.

According to their forum, he’s clearly talented but raw. Not that liked in the dressing room, because he thinks he think he’s “billy big baws”.

Not sure whether to trust the views of people who spell that badly (and presumably haven’t seen him play), so take with a pinch of salt.

Not saying he’s not an academy player, but you would think in order to join us, he will want some reassurances that he will get some first team minutes this year. If reports are to be believed then he’s been scouted for a while from some top clubs, he could join their academies and develop further. Then there’s Portsmouth and a host of other league 1/2 clubs that have apparently been sniffing around and they will offer him first team football. Can’t see him coming here just for academy football.

 

Might be wrong but I'd be surprised if we'd guaranteed him minutes considering he's not even played a minute of football in the SPL yet. Could be that we've promised him a loan to one of those League 1/2 clubs which along with what I imagine is a hefty payrise could be why he's picked us.

Our team are more Eton Trifles than Rifles although the way they played this season they do seem to have been doing a lot of supping up their beer and collecting their fags .

This can't be right, we're literally the worst move possible for any young player. Or any player in fact. His career will be ruined instantly. Porteous must also clearly hate it here. Where's his uncle so that we can warn him to stay away before it's too late. We should be actually banned from signing any players at all for humanitarian reasons. etc. etc.

If he was genuinely any good he’d have started a league game by now in that tinpot league let’s be honest.

 

He's 18. Andy Robertson had his breakthrough season at the same age, at a lower level than the SPL.

 

I'm clinging to the possibility that it's because he'd been refusing to sign a new contract - perhaps similar to why we'd not been giving someone like Blake more minutes.

We'll shape him in such a way that his career goes backwards 5 years.

 

League 1 would probably be a stretch considering he's not played any senior football up in Scotland

 

Would be a good back up option as long as Manga can find 3 other top quality strikers this window

He's the number 4 who wins the ball and goes on a good run in the below vid, taken from Hibs' UEFA Youth League game vs Dortmund in February.

Based on this he certainly seems very quick and quite powerful at least.
