Whatever happens surely they should be at pre season training unless a move is imminent. I wonder what the two players feel. Would either consider staying? I don't think Sarr would but maybe Dennis might if the right move didn't happen
We really do treat our players we want rid of badly don't we. Flog them til they drop during the season then banish them before a new season starts.
It’s indicative of the rotten culture here, players contracted to us but only under certain conditions will we hold them to those terms, because we signed them on the basis of selling them on to a better club as soon as we can. How can we expect players to fight for us in a relegation battle, when they know the moment relegation is confirmed they’ll still be able to pick up their weekly wage, but will never have to wear a Watford strip or training kit ever again.
Sarr still ended up playing for us last time. Also, most the top players of relegation-threatened clubs will be well aware they'll push for a move and get sold if the club gets relegated.
I'm afraid that the Watford hierarchy feel those players are good enough for the Championship. No new defensive or midfield signings are expected.
You might have to wait forever because he will be a brilliant signing for them. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Your posts really are all the same aren't they?! "Everything is fkking terrible. Could be mistaken" "The club is 100% an absolute shambles. We shall perhaps find out" "I've just sh@t out my spleen all over my kitchen floor. Hope I'm wrong"
Sarr did say he would be more than willing to train and carry on playing for the team if he wasnt sold this window. He has the right attitude and could still be an asset for the team , so its a shame he's being frozen out the way he is.
You don't have to agree - but you stated as fact that no new defensive or midfield players are expected. When I know thats not true.
Didn't really show that after the AFCON but in fairness we did have Hodgson at the wheel so not ideal
More likely to be being bubble-wrapped to ensure no injuries pre any desired sale .... difficult to see how the external debt is ever repaid without selling Sarr & Dennis for decent fees.
No - just know that there are targets...will become more active in those areas when players are shifted out.
Who really cares? This site is designed to allow fans to air their views, good or bad. Some on here don't like any criticism of Watford at all. That's OK, every club has this type of fan. I read most of the threads on here. Many are very good and informative. In the long run our views means nothing as we don't play in the team or own the club. This site is just a bit of fun and long it continue to be so.
Yep. Suspect it’s a simple equation. Sarr + Dennis + Cucho bring in £50m plus then we have a modest budget for signings before window shuts. Less that that and it’s Dwight Gayle on loan
We joke, but easy to see the Leventhal piece: "while the £12m was a disappointment, Watford got good use out of the mercurial winger. His carrying value in the accounts of £12.8m, would mean Pozzo virtually broke even from an accounting perspective, and the hierarchy are now simply looking to draw a line under it." Edit: My depreciation calculations used the real value of £32m, not Leventhal's gibberish £28m
