Can you explain why you think Dyer is a clown. An experienced player who played a substantial part in the championship winning side who we've signed on a free. Bearing in mind we don't have the biggest budget in the league who apart from Tozser would you like to bring in?
Gomes, Toszer and Dyer - three players we've signed (we think) who are better than any of the new signings we made last year. Looks like we are really going for it!
You're officially the first person I blocked. Congratulations. Everyone else contributes at least 1 decent post even if the other 99 are shyte. Or annoying people can sometimes make you laugh. Or they post ridicolous things (Orny) but with substance and reasoning. ORRRRR they genuinely believe their rubbish (TVOR) You're just a c*nt.
Just imagine if we get Maguire, Tozser and Vydra... Tozser, Gomes, Dyer, Maguire, Vydra. Must be up there with our best transfer windows ever.
But we said that in the last 3 windows and we are still in the same position. mid-table Championship.
If you'd come to me last summer and offered me Gomes > Woods, Maguire > Belkalem, Dyer > Fabbrini and Vydra > Acuna then I'd have taken every one of them. The calibre of player we're linked with now is a class above the last few transfer windows.
Totally agree with Jellyman here. We are being linked with some high quality players but importantly, players that have experience of playing in England.
No way would people have been happy with Dyer over Fabbrini or Maguire over Belkalem last summer. People were wetting themselves over those two.
For me, the signings of Gomes and Dyer are very welcome. Let's just hope the Head Coach can bring the best out of them and anybody else who joins us this summer, because frankly the last few performances of last season don't fill me with much confidence.
Agreed and as has been said previously we have signed them early (in fact we haven't technically signed them as the transfer window is not open)
This. Whilst the players seemed appealing at the time, getting proven players in England is better than judging someone on their YouTube videos. You can add Toszer > Iriney to that, too.
Very creative avoidance of the swear filter, that has made the words harder to read than if they were actually censored.
I don't post much on the forums, mainly because as a teacher, I don't get much time. But I try to stay abreast of some of the rumours and gossip on here, but it is so difficult when you have to wade through pages of bickering and bi+ching at each other. Aren't we all Watford fans on here? Seriously? - I like a giggle like most people, and while distracting from the gossip, some of the banter is funny, clever or witty. But really, just insulting each other for the sake of it, slagging off new signings who HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED FOR US YET! and repeating jokes OVER and OVER again cos they were funny a few years back is so tiresome and confusing. Its like when I was able to get down to the Rookery this season a couple of times (I still play footie myself on a Saturday) and was disgusted to hear our own fans booing a player in a watford shirt who was guilty of... COMING ON AS SUBSTITUTE. Who then (Blackburn game) was one of the better players for the last 20 minutes despite the jeering. I even nearly threw a punch at a 65 year old next to me who thought it appropriate to state that Diakite should "go back to the congo to get some more bananas". Fortunately my dad was there and I didn't want to make a scene. I appreciate that most of the idiotic comments here and at the ground come from the minority. But seriously, can't we just ignore stupid comments, or block/delete posts and then get on to looking forward to next season without any sense of entitlement or deserving of promotion but instead an excitement that it is a possibility. Other clubs have owners, we aren't the only one, other clubs have money, other clubs have players too. Lets just be pleased with our squad, excited about anyone we sign and see what comes along. The number of people stating "we should do this..." is ridiculous, almost as much as the people that think tommy smith = automatic promotion, he is a good player and was great for us, but didn't exactly set the premier league alight any time in the last few years. Sorry for the rant, but seriously guys - Watford is what we have in common, not something to insult each other about!
I would have thought, as a teacher, you would know the classic work is I Ching not Bi Ching (unless teachers are more pc than I ever believed and positively affirm alternative sexualities)
